창의성이란? | 창의성은 Joy Paul Guilford가 1950년 미국심리학협회(TheAmerican Psychological Association) 회장 취임 연설에서 연구의 중요성을 주장(Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, 2011)한 이후 심리학 분야를 중심으로 학문적인 연구가 활발하게 이루어져 왔다. 창의성은 연구하는 학자들에 의해 다양하게 정의되어 왔으나 대체로 새롭고 독창적이며 적절하고 유용한 산출물을 생산해낼 수 있는 능력으로 정의할 수 있다(Cho, 2013). 창의성은 ‘무’에서 ‘유’를 산출하기보다는 우리의 머리 속에 축적되어 있는 지식과 정보를 바탕으로 하여 그것들을 재구성하거나 재결합하여 아이디어를 산출하는 능력이며 새로운 문제를 해결하는데 필요한 능력이다(Jung, 2007). |
