신체활동 증진을 위한 방안은? | 세계보건기구의 ‘건강을 위한 신체활동 권장지침’에 따르면 신체활동 부족은 관상동맥질환과 뇌졸중, 당뇨, 고혈압 등의 위험을 현저하게 높이는 주요한 위험요인이며, 만성질환 예방과 건강증진을 위해서 신체활동 증진이 필수적이라고 하였다[2]. 2018년에 발표된 ‘미국 신체활동 가이드라인 권고안’에 따르면 걷기운동은 일상생활과 직장생활 중에 누구나 쉽게 실천할 수 있고, 뇌심혈관계 질환을 비롯한 각종 질병 예방과 의료비용 절감의 효과를 가져 올 수 있다[3]. 걷기운동 중재에 대한 체계적 문헌고찰 연구에 의하면 맞춤형 걷기운동 중재는 18세 이상 성인의 신체활동 증가에 유의한 영향을 미치며[4], 걷기운동은 혈압 · 체질량지수 · 총콜레스테롤 · 삶의 질을 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다[5]. |
