Purpose: The study was done to investigate the influence of voice behavior, self-esteem and sexual knowledge on sexual assertiveness of nursing college students. Methods: A structured self-report questionnaire was used to measure voice behavior, self-esteem, sexual knowledge and sexual assertiveness. During March, 2019, data were collected from 133 nursing students in D city and G city. Data were analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple linear regression with the SPSS/WIN 25.0 program. Results: Voice behavior and self-esteem were positively correlated with the sexual assertiveness of participants, while voice behavior was positively correlated with the self-esteem of participants. Also, self-esteem was a significant predictor of sexual assertiveness in nursing college students. The predictor explained 12% of their sexual assertiveness. Conclusion: The finding indicates that self-esteem is an important factor for sexual assertiveness of nursing students. It is also expected that self-esteem can further promote their sexual assertiveness.

따라서 본 연구모형은 단계적 다중회귀분석을 위한 가정을 충족하였다

제안 방법

발언행동과 성적 자기주장 간 관련성을 확인한 연구는 없어 직접비교가 어려워 다르지만 유사성을 가진 자기주장과 의사소통요인으로 살펴보았다.
본 연구의 도구는 구조화된 설문지를 사용하여 일반적 특성 11개 문항, 발언행동 8개 문항, 자아존중감 10개 문항, 성지식 40개 문항과 성적자기주장 12개 문항으로 총 81문항으로 구성되어 있다.
학과 게시판에 공고문을 게시하여 대상자를 모집하며, 자발적으로 찾아오는 대상자에 한하여 연구자로부터 교육받은 연구보조자가 연구 대상자에게 연구의 목적 및 설문 내용에 대하여 설명하고 서면동의서를 작성한 대상자에게 설문지를 직접 배부하였다.

대상 데이터

본 연구의 연구대상은 D시와 G시 소재 간호학과 재학 중인 학생으로 연구의 목적을 이해하고 연구 참여에 동의한 학생을 대상으로 편의표집 하였다.
이 중 불성실한 응답 10부를 제외하고 최종 133부를 분석에 사용하였다.
표본 수 산정은 효과크기 .15, 유의수준 .05, 검정력 95% 및 주요 예측변수 3개를 기준으로 하였을 때 119명이 산출되었고 약 20%의 탈락률을 고려하여 143명을 대상자로 선정하였다.

데이터처리

∙ 대상자의 발언행동, 자아존중감, 성지식 및 성적자기주장 간의 상관관계는 Pearson’s correlation coefficient로 분석하였다.
∙ 대상자의 발언행동, 자아존중감, 성지식이 성적자기주장에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 Stepwise multiple regression으로 분석하였다.
∙ 대상자의 일반적 특성, 발언행동, 자아존중감, 성지식과 성적 자기주장은 빈도, 백분율, 평균과 표준편차로 산출하였다.
∙ 대상자의 일반적 특성에 따른 성적자기주장의 차이는 t-test,ANOVA로 분석하였다.
연구대상자의 성적자기주장에 미치는 관련요인을 규명하기 위하여 단계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다.

이론/모형

Polit, Beck과 Owen (2007)의 공식에 따라Liket 4점 척도를 활용하여 Item-level Content Validity (I-CVI)를 구하였다.
발언행동은 Van Dyne과 LePine (1998)이 개발한 친사회적 발언(Pro-social Voice) 5문항과 Farrell (1983)의 EVLN (Exit,Voice, Loyalty and Neglect) 모형에서 사용한 발언 3문항을 Chung (2014)이 8문항으로 통합한 도구를 대학생에 맞게 수정 보완한 도구(Park et al., 2019)를 사용하였다.
본 연구에서 자아존중감은 Rosenberg (1965)가 개발한 자아존중감 척도(Self-Esteem Scale)를 Lee와 Won (1995)이 번역한 척도를 사용하여 측정하였다.
성적자기주장은 Ha, Jun, Yoo, Lee와 Cho (2007)가 개발한 성발달 평가척도의 하위요인인 성적자기주장요인 척도를 사용한다.
성지식은 Kye (1998)가 개발하고 Whang (2009)이 수정·보완한 도구를 사용하였다.

성능/효과

가족과 함께 살고 있는 집단과 혹은 가족과 분리되어 기숙사나 자취를 하고 있는 집단을 구분하여 보았을 때 가족과 함께 살고 있는 집단이 그렇지 않은 집단에 비하여 성적자기주장 정도가 높았다.
간호대학생의 성적자기주장에 영향을 주는 요인을 확인하기 위하여 일반적 특성에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였던 가족과의 동거 여부를 파악하는 거주형태와 발언행동, 자아존중감, 성지식 요인을 독립변수로 하여 단계적 다중회귀분석을 수행한 결과, 자아존중감(β=.34, p<.001)이 유의한 것으로 나타났으며, 자아존중감이 높을수록 성적자기주장 정도가 높았다(F=17.46, p<.001).
또한 높은 자아존중감은 청소년 및 대학생들에게 다양한 분야에서 긍정적인 영향을 주는 경향을 확인할 수 있었다.
또한 독립변수 간 다중공선성을 확인한 결과 회귀분석의 공차한계(tolerance)는 0.98, 분산팽창지수(Variation Inflation Factor, VIF)는 1.00으로 독립변수 간 다중공선성은 없음을 확인하였다.
또한 자아존중감은 발언행동과도 유의한 양의 상관관계(r=.42, p<.001)를 보였다.
본 연구결과 간호대학생의 발언행동은 5점 만점에 3.39점으로 이는 일 간호대학생의 발언행동 결과(Park et al., 2019)인 3.22점과 약간 높거나 비슷한 수준이었다.
본 연구대상인 간호대학생의 성적자기주장에 자아존중감만이 유일하게 영향을 미치는 요인인 것으로 확인되었다.
본 연구대상자의 발언행동은 5점 만점 중 3.39±0.68점 정도인 것으로 나타났다.
본 연구대상자의 성적자기주장에 대하여 자아존중감(r=.34,p<.001)과 발언행동(r=.24, p=.006)은 각각 통계적으로 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보였다.
본 연구대상자의 일반적 특성에 따른 성적자기주장의 차이는 거주형태에서 가족과의 동거를 하고 있는 대상자와 자취나 기숙사생활을 하고 있는 대상자에서 성적자기주장에 대하여 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 확인되었다(t=2.29,p=.024).
본 연구대상자의 일반적 특성에 따른 성적자기주장의 차이는 유일하게 주거유형에서 나타났다.
본 연구대상자인 간호대학생의 성적자기주장에 대하여 자아존중감과 발언행동 순으로 양의 상관관계를 보였다.
본 연구의 간호대학생 성지식 수준은 40점 만점에서 33.67점 수준이었다.
성지식은 발언행동, 자아존중감 및 성적자기주장에 대하여 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계는 확인되지 않았다(Table 3).
연구결과, 간호대학생의 자아존중감만이 성적자기주장에 유의한 영향요인으로 확인되었다.
오차항의 등분산성과 정규성을 검토하기 위해 표준화 잔차 정규 P-P도표(probability plot)를 확인한 결과 정규분포를 보였고, 잔차 산점도 상 등분산이 확인되었으며 잔차의 독립성 검토를 위해 Durbin-Watson값을 확인한 결과 1.98로 2에 가까워 자기상관성은 없는 것으로 나타났다.

후속연구

둘째, 자아존중감은 다양한 결과변수의 설명변수로써 확인되고 있고, 간호대학생에게 있어 자아존중감을 향상하기 위한 노력은 개인이 성장하고 스스로 문제해결을 해나가는 핵심전략이 될 수 있으므로 자아존중감을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램개발 연구를 제언한다.
보건계열 전공의 특성이 반영된 결과이거나(Kim et al., 2013) 대상의 세분화 정도에 따른 차이(Whang, 2009)에서 기인한 것인지 교육수준과 연령을 세분화하여 청소년기의 성지식과 성적자기주장과의 관련성을 확인하는 반복연구는 성교육 관련 가이드라인을 마련하는데 의미가 있을 것이다.
이에 성적자기주장에 영향을 미치는 일반적 특성을 정교하게 구성하고 다양한 환경의 간호대학생을 대상으로 반복연구를 시도할 필요가 있다.
첫째, 간호대학생의 성적자기주장의 영향요인은 보다 다양한 요인과 환경을 탐색하여 고려한 연구가 필요하다.
