공공도서관 건립의 타당성을 위한 이용자 인식조사 연구 - 부산시 사상구를 중심으로 -

이 연구는 부산시 사상구 주례동에 건립될 예정인 J도서관의 이용적 측면에서의 타당성 확립을 위한 연구로, 지역사회분석과 이용자 설문조사를 수행하여 도서관 건립의 필요성을 확인하고 향후 도서관이 제공해야 할 서비스의 방향을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 우선 사상구를 대상으로 인구분포현황, 문화기관현황, 사상구의 비전 등 지역사회분석을 실시하였다. 이후 사상도서관과 작은도서관, 주민자치센터 방문자를 대상으로 기존 공공도서관에 대한 이용현황과 향후 건립될 도서관에 대한 인식조사를 실시하였다. 조사결과, 공공도서관 건립의 필요성과 이용의향 정도는 높은 편으로 나타났으며, 특히 도서나 잡지 등 충분한 인쇄자료의 신속한 제공에 대한 기대정도가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 희망하는 공간의 경우 대체로 '열린 공간'과 '소규모 모임 공간(가족공간)'에 대한 요구가 높게 나타났으며, 특화서비스의 경우 인문학, 예술(음악/미술), 영화 등에 대한 요구가 높았으나 대체로 다양한 분야에 고른 관심을 보이는 것으로 나타났다.
