본 연구는 2019년 청소년 건강행태조사 온라인 조사 자료를 활용하여 연구대상자의 인구사회학적 특성, 정신건강 관련 특성을 알아보고 그에 따른 주관적 건강인지, 평상시 스트레스인지, 자살생각·자살계획·자살시도에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 알아보고자 하였다. 전체 청소년 대상자는 57,303명이며, 그 중 고등학생 27,919명(48.7%), 중학생이 29,384명(51.3%)이었다. 주관적 건강인지, 평상 시 스트레스 인지, 최근 12개월 동안 자살생각·자살계획·자살시도 등의 정신건강과 관련된 요인을 찾아보기 위해 연구대상 청소년들의 일반적인 특성 및 건강관련 특성 뿐 아니라 그들의 연관성을 분석하였다. 그 결과 청소년의 성별, 학교구분, 거주형태(부모님과의 동거여부), 경제상태, 학업성적, 주중 인터넷 사용시간, 흡연경험, 음주경험, 약물경험, 학교폭력치료경험, 성관계경험, 최근 7일 동안 잠으로 피로회복 정도, 최근 12개월 동안 슬픔 및 절망감 경험 등의 변수를 이용한 결과 모든 변수들이 그 정도는 다르나 정신건강에 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다(p<0.05). 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 청소년의 건강행태 개선 및 정신건강 관련 예방적 대책 수립을 위한 기초 자료로 삼고자 한다.

This study investigated the mental health factors of juveniles according to socio-demographic characteristics and mental health related characteristics using the Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-Based Survey 2019 Data. The study subjects were total 57,303 students (middle school: 29,384, high school: 27,919). The data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, χ2-tests and regression analysis using SPSS ver. 18.0. The findings revealed that socio-demographic characteristics (gender, residential area, residential type, economic status, school achievement) and mental health related characteristics (subjective assessment, stress cognition, overcoming fatigue through sleeping, experiencing sadness and despair, suicidal ideation, suicidal planning, suicidal attempts, experience of hospital care for violence, experience of smoking, drinking, sexual relations and/or habitual drug use, internet use except for study) were factors that influenced factors related to the mental health of juveniles (p<0.05). The mental health of juveniles was closely related with health behaviors. This study could be used as a tool for the development and establishment of juveniles' health promotion and prevention strategies in the future.

대상 데이터

본 연구는 2019년 청소년건강행태 조사 온라인 조사 자료를 활용하였으며, 중학교 400개교, 고등학교 400개 교 총 800개교의 60,100명의 대상자 가운데 조사에 참여한 전체 청소년 57,303명을 대상으로 하였으며, 이 중 중학생이 29,384명(남학생 15,401명, 여학생 13,983 명), 고등학생이 27,919명(남학생 14,440명, 여학생 13,479명)이었다.

데이터처리

자료는 SPSS 18.0 version을 이용하여 변수의 특성 에 따라 기술통계분석과 측정 변수들 간의 관계를 확인 하기 위해 교차분석, 상관분석, 회귀분석 등을 실시하였다

성능/효과

그 결과 청소년의 성별, 학교구분, 거주형태(부모님과의 동거여부), 경제상태, 학업성적, 주중 인터넷 사용시간, 흡연경험, 음주경험, 약물경험, 학교폭력치료경험, 성관계경험, 최근 7일 동안 잠으로 피로회복 정도, 최근 12개월 동안 슬픔 & 절망감 경험 등의 변수를 이용한 결과모든 변수들이 그 정도는 다르나 정신건강에 음으로 또는 양으로 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이는 신체적, 심리적으로 발달하는 청소년기에 스트레스와 수면이 적절하게 조절되지 못하면 정신 및 신체건강에 영향을 미친다는 연구[8][9][10]와도 같은 결과이며, 이른 나이에 음주, 흡연을 시작한 청소년이 자살행동에 취약하다는 선행연구결과와도 일치한다[11][12][13][14].

후속연구

본 연구는 청소년 건강행태조사라고 하는 자기기입식 설문조사로 진행된 이차 자료를 활용한 연구로 정확한 응답에 대한 한계와 변수선정에 대한 한계를 가지며, 단면 연구이기에 동시행위관련 변수와 이들의 선후관계를 파악하는데 있어서도 한계를 가진다. 이러한 한계점에도 불구하고 본 연구는 매년 시행하는 청소년 건강행태 조사라고 하는 국가조사 자료를 이용하여 청소년의 정신 건강 관련에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하여 청소년 정신건강 향상을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 함에 의미를 가진다 하겠다.
