본 연구의 목적은 정적 스쿼트 동작 시 발란스 보드와 전신 진동자극기 적용이 신체 근육의 근활성도 변화에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 검증하는 것이었다. 본 연구의 대상자는 20대 남성 20명을 대상으로 실시하였고(연령, 21.90±0.36 세; 신장, 174.30±1.09 cm; 체중, 66.50±1.00 kg; 신체질량지수, 21.90±0.31 kg/㎡), 3가지의 기본 정적 스쿼트 동작, 발란스 보드를 적용한 정적 스쿼트 동작 및 전신 진동자극기를 적용한 정적 스쿼트 동작을 수행하였으며, 표면전극을 부착한 부위는 신체 근육의 우측 복직근, 내복사근, 외복사근, 대퇴직근, 외측광근 및 내측광근으로 설정하였다. 실험을 통해 획득된 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 복직근, 내복사근 및 외복사근의 근활성도는 발란스 보드와 전신 진동자극기를 적용한 정적 스쿼트 동작 시 통계적으로 높게 나타났고(p=.001, p=.004, p=.000), 대퇴직근, 외측광근 및 내측광근의 근활성도는 전신 진동자극기를 적용한 정적 스쿼트 동작에서 통계적으로 가장 높게 나타났다(p=.000). 본 연구의 결과는 향후 정적 스쿼트 훈련 적용 시 효과적인 신체 근육을 강화시키기 위한 프로그램의 기초 자료가 될 것으로 기대된다.

불안정 지지면에서의 스쿼트 운동은 안정 지지면에서의 운동에 비하여 어떤 장점이 있는가? | 스쿼트 운동은 여러 형태 및 보조도구를 활용하여 일반인 또는 재활환자들의 수준에 맞게 활용되어지고 있는데, 일반적인 정적 스쿼트 운동 이외에 여러 물리적 부하를 가함으로써 스쿼트 운동의 효과를 효율적으로 상승시킬 수 있으며, 이를 위해 지지면의 변화를 주거나 전신 진동자극기가 사용되어지고 있다[6,7]. 스쿼트 운동 시지지면의 변화 적용과 관련된 내용을 살펴보면, 안정 지지면 보다 불안정 지지면에서의 스쿼트 운동이 외적인 흔들림이 증가되기 때문에 정위(normal position) 자세 능력을 강화시킴으로써 감각운동기능을 재빨리 수정할 수 있게 되고[2], 이러한 자세 조절은 체성감각(somatosensory) 정보에 의존하고, 자세 전략(postural strategy)에 상당한 도움을 준다고 하였다[8]. 그리고 불안정 지지면에서의 운동은 근신경(neuromusclar) 전달 시스템을 더욱 자극하여 주동근(agonistic muscle)과 협력근(synergistic muscle)을 동시에 수축(co-contraction)시키고, 근력과 안정성 및 균형능력 향상의 효과를 극대화시킬 수 있다고 하였다[9]. 김용훈, 김병조, 박두진의 연구 사례에 의하면, 이들은 불안정 지지면에서의 스쿼트 운동은 안정 지지면에서의 운동보다 대퇴직근(rectus femoris), 외측광근(vastus lateralis) 및 내측광근(vastus medialis)의 근활성도를 더 높일 수 있다고 보고하였다[10]. |
