The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of Student Majoring in Flight Operation's propensity, safety behavior and aeronautical decision-making. According to the analysis results, First, parents' criticism of perfectionism factor is found to have a negative effect on safety behavior. Second, student pilot's proactive personality has a positive impact on both safety participation behavior and safety compliance behavior. Third, both safety participation behavior and safety compliance behavior are found to have a significant effect on situation awareness, solution generation and solution implementation of decision making stages. Therefore, this study is intended to provide useful basic data that can be applied to studies such as appropriate psychological counseling, optimal training directions and teaching methods in order to cultivate excellent human resources through safe flight training.

본 연구는 앞에서 제시한 실증 연구모형을 토대로 다음과 같은 가설을 설정하였다.

제안 방법

따라서, 본 연구에서는 항공운항항과 재학생의 학습과 훈련 환경을 고려하여 참여안전행동은 항공운항항과 재학생의 비행훈련, 이론교육 및 안전워크숍 등에 참여하는 행동으로 개념화하였으며, 안전순응행동은 비행훈련 전후의 모든 단계에서의 규정과 절차준수 행동의 의미로 연구에 적용하였다.

대상 데이터

본 연구는 2020년 5월 21일∼7월 20일까지 수도권, 충청권, 호남권, 경상권 대학의 항공운항학과에 재학 중인 비행훈련생을 대상으로 실시하였으며, 총 166부의 설문을 배포하였으나, 불성실 답변 8부를 제외한 158부를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 연구의 가설을 검증하기 위해 설문을 바탕으로 SPSS 2.

데이터처리

첫째, 인구통계학적 특성을 파악하기 위해 빈도분석을 실시하였다. 둘째, 측정 문항의 타당성과 신뢰성 확보를 위해 탐색적 요인분석 및 신뢰도 분석을 실시하였다. 셋째, 변수 간의 인과관계를 파악을 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다.

결과에 따르면 경험이 많은 조종사가 문제를 인식하고 해답을 구현하는데 더 능숙하다고 분석되었으나, 문제의 근본 원인을 진단할 수 있는 능력이 우수하다는 것을 나타내는 것은 아니라고 강조하였다. 선행연구에서는 인지, 분석, 평가, 해결, 대안제시 등 의사결정의 단계를 주로 3∼8단계로 구분하고 있으며, 본 연구에는 Endsley(1988)의 비행 의사결정 3단계로 구분하여 환경에 대한 상황인지, 분석을 통한 해답생성, 실제 적용을 위한 해답구현을 측정에 반영하였다.

성능/효과

둘째, 반면에 학업과 진로를 위한 적극적이고 진취적인 주도성향은 학습과 훈련을 포함하는 일상적인 안전이행에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이것은 비행과 관련된 학습, 기술적 요소와 더불어 안전을 유지하는 책임에 대한 심리적 부담을 극복하고 인내하는 성향이 안전에 대한 자발적인 참여와 준수를 통한 안전확보에 기여하는 결과를 가져왔다.
셋째, 평소의 항공운항학과 재학생의 학습과 훈련을 통한 적극적인 안전이행과 규정준수는 비행훈련 중 예기치 못한 상황에서 상황을 인지하고, 분석하여 해답을 도출하여 실천에 옯기는 과정의 단계별 능력을 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 항공운항학과 재학생는 안전을 기반으로 하는 비행훈련에 대해 적극적인 참여와 절차의 준수가 비상상황을 대처하는 의사결정능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 중요한 요인임이 확인하였다.
첫째, 항공운항학과 재학생의 완벽성향 중 실패에 대한 부모의 부정적 반응이 안전을 유지하기 위한 적극적인 참여와 안전규정 준수의 행동을 저해시키는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 다차원 완벽성향의 요인이 모두 작용하는 선행연구의 결과와는 달리 완벽성향의 부정적 요인인 부모의 비난과의 영향관계를 확인하였다(Lee, 2011).

후속연구

본 연구는 일반대학생과 차별화되는 환경에 재학 중인 항공운항학과 재학생의 개인의 심리적 특성인 성향을 파악하고, 안전과 의시결정의 중요성을 연구에 설정한 것에 학문적 의의가 있으며, 추후 기존 조종사와 항공운항학과 재학생 간의 비행의사결정에 대한 단계별 인식 차이를 추가하여 교육의 중요도 및 필요성을 파악하기 위한 연구로 확장한다면 더욱 깊이 있는 연구가 될 것으로 사료된다.
