중고령자의 디지털 기기 이용에 영향을 미치는 변수는 무엇이 있는가? | 중고령자의 정보격차지수를 감소시키기 위해서는 중고령자의 디지털헬스기기 접근과 역량을 강화시킬 수 있는 요소들에 대해 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 선행연구에 따르면, 중고령자의 디지털 기기 이용에 영향을 미친다고 보고되고 있는 변수로는 불안[8-10], 자기효능감[4,11-12], 주관적 규범[13-15] 등이 지목되고 있으나, 본 연구에서는 정보기술 수용 및 사용행동의 직·간접적인 영향을 미친다고 보고[11]되고 있는 자기효능감에 중점을 두어 중고령자의 디지털헬스기기 이용의도와의 관계를 검증해보고자 한다. | |
중고령자의 디지털헬스기기에 대한 자기효능감과 이용의도 간의 관계를 중장년층과 노년층 집단별로 살펴본 연구 결과는 어떻게 되는가? | 본 연구의 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중장년층과 노년층의 디지털헬스기기 이용의도를 비교한 결과, 중장년층의 이용의도(5.07점)는 노년층(4.86점)에 비해 상당히 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중장년층의 자기효능감(7.74점) 역시 노년층(6.21점)보다 높게 나타났지만 두 연령집단 모두 절반보다 높게 나타나 상당히 높은 자기효능감을 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 연령집단별 자기효능감과 이용의도 간 관계를 살펴본 결과, 중장년층의 경우 자기효능감과 이용의도 간의 관계가 유의미하지 않은 것으로 나타났으나 노년층의 경우에는 자기효능감과 이용의도 간의 관계가 정적인 방향으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 노년층의 경우에는 디지털기기에 대한 자기효능감이 높을수록 디지털헬스기기 이용의도가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 통해 중고령자의 디지털헬스기기 활용 증진을 위해서는 자기효능감을 증진시킬 수 있는 교육프로그램이 선제적으로 도입될 필요가 있으며, 중장년층과 노년층의 연령집단 특성에 따라 차별화된 전략이 필요함을 제시하였다. |
