인류는 서비스경제시대를 맞이하였다. 새로운 경제는 새로운 경영을 필요로 한다. 새로운 경영의 핵심주체는 최고경영자다. 경영자 의사결정의 결과가 기업의 성과로 나타나며, 미래 성장동력의 기반이 된다. 본 연구는 중소 중견기업 경영자의 CEO역량, 기업가지향성, 경영성과가 서로 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 실증분석 하였다. 연구에선 8개 변수간의 가설이 설정되었다. 또한 그동안 연구되어지지 않았던 기업가지향성과 CEO역량과의 관계도 규명하였다. CEO역량의 측정항목으로 개인효과성, 혁신의지, 기회인식, 정보인식, 관계형성, 사업관리, 리더십, 조직문화, 인적자원관리를, 기업가지향성 측정항목으로 위험감수성, 진취성, 혁신성을 설정하고 본 연구에 부합하게 조작적 정의를 한 후 분석을 진행하였다. 분석 결과 기업가지향성은 경영성과에 유의미한 결과를 도출하지 못했다. 그리고 CEO역량은 경영성과에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 결과를 나타내었다. 이는 관리적 변인인 CEO역량이 경영성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 판단할 수 있다. 또한 기업가지향성과 CEO역량과의 관계에서도 유의미한 결과가 나타났다. 혁신성, 진취성, 위험감수성이 CEO역량에 긍정적인 결과를 나타낸데 시사점이 있다. 마지막으로, 기업가지향성은 CEO역량을 매개로 경영성과에 통계적으로 유의한 결과를 나타내었다. 연구 당시가 COVID19 바이러스의 세계적 대유행(펜더믹)의 발현시기라는 점에서 본 연구 결과에 주목할 만하다 하겠다. 향후 더욱 변화된 경제환경에서의 CEO관련 요인과 경영성과간의 관계에 대한 심층 연구가 필요하다.

Humanity has reached the age of service economy. A new economy requires new management. The chief executive of new management is the CEO. The results of management decision-making are reflected in the company's performance, and are the basis for future growth engines. This study empirically analyzed the effect of CEO competence, corporate orientation, and management performance of small and medium-sized mid-sized business managers on each other. In the study, a hypothesis was established between eight variables. In addition, the relationship between corporate orientation and CEO competency, which has not been studied, was also identified. Set personal effectiveness, willingness to innovate, opportunity recognition, information perception, relationship formation, business management, leadership, organizational culture, and human resource management as measures of CEO competency. After defining the operation in accordance with this study, the analysis was conducted. As a result of the analysis, corporate orientation did not produce a meaningful result in management performance. And CEO competency showed a positive (+) effect on management performance. It can be judged that the CEO variable, a management variable, had a positive effect on management performance. Also, there was a significant result in the relationship between corporate orientation and CEO competency. Innovativeness, initiative, and risk-taking have positive implications for CEO competency. Lastly, corporate orientation showed statistically significant results on management performance through the mediation of CEO competency. It is worth noting the results of this study in that the time of the study was the timing of the global pandemic (fendermic) of the COVID19 virus. In the future, in-depth research is needed on the relationship between CEO-related factors and management performance in a more changed economic environment.

제안 방법

이를 위해 선행연구를 기반으로 연구모형을 도출하고 가설을 설정하였다. 그리고 본 연구의 목적과 부합한 조작적 정의를 통해 설문조사를 실시하였다.

대상 데이터

본 연구의 대상은 매일경제가 배포하고 한국콘텐츠미디어가 제작한 ‘한국 smtp 2016’의 기업정보 DB에서 5년 이상의 중견법인기업을 모집단으로 하였다. 업종과 지역의 구분 없이 정확한 이메일정보가 있는 업체들로 선정하여, Google survey form을 이용하였다.

데이터처리

본 연구를 위한 분석은 SPSS 24와 AMOS 21을 활용하였다. 분석은 인구통계학적인 분석, 기술통계 및 신뢰도 분석, 상관관계 분석 그리고 확인적 요인분석, 마지막으로 경로 분석을 실시하여 가설검정을 진행하였다.

이론/모형

그리고 매개변수인 CEO 역량은 Park(2011)이 중소기업 최고경영자의 역량모델 개발을 위해 사용하였던 기본역량, 직무역량, 리더역량을 사용하였다. 그리고 경영성과는 Noh(2016)가 연구에서 사용한 10개의 항목들을 사용하였다.
본 연구에서 독립변수인 기업가적 지향성은 Yoon(2012)의 연구에서 사용한 3개의 변수(혁신성, 위험감수성, 진취성)를 활용하였다. 그리고 매개변수인 CEO 역량은 Park(2011)이 중소기업 최고경영자의 역량모델 개발을 위해 사용하였던 기본역량, 직무역량, 리더역량을 사용하였다. 그리고 경영성과는 Noh(2016)가 연구에서 사용한 10개의 항목들을 사용하였다.

둘째, 기업가지향성이 CEO역량에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 결과를 내었다. 이는 기업가 지향성(혁신성, 위험감수성, 진취성)의 진보적인 속성적 특질이 CEO 역량의 하위요인인 개인효과성, 기회인식, 정보인식, 관계형성, 사업관리, 리더십, 인적자원관리 등과의 영향을 본 첫 관계 연구라는데 의미가 있다 하겠다.
첫째, 기업가지향성이 경영성과에 유의미하지 않은 결과를 나타냈다. 이는 세계적 대유행(펜데믹)의 출현과 같은 거시적 위기환경과 국내에서도 COVID19 바이러스로 인한 중소중견기업의 불확실성 미래예측이 조절변인으로 작용한 것으로 볼 수 있다.

후속연구

둘째, 본 연구에서는 서비스경제 환경에서의 기업가 지향성과 CEO역량이 경영성과에 미치는 관계연구였지만 충분한 서비스경제 환경을 연구에 반영하지 못함으로서 후속 연구에서는 보다 면밀한 서비스 환경의 조절변수를 사용하여 내용과 가치가 깊은 연구가 이뤄져야 하겠다.

	중소기업의 최고경영자의 기업가적 지향성과 CEO역량이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 연구의 목적은?	첫째, 서비스경제시대에서 중소기업 최고경영자의 기업가 지향성이 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다. 둘째, 중소기업 최고경영자의 기업가 지향성이 CEO역량에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 셋째, 중소기업 CEO역량이 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 통하여 중소기업의 경영성과 향상을 위한 최고경영자의 기업가 지향성과 CEO역량의 중요성을 강조하고자 한다.
