Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for developing strategic programs based on the types of perception to aid in the coping strategy of 119 emergency medical technicians who experienced have violence. Methods: The subjects were 119 emergency medical technicians working out of hospitals in Korea. Data were collected from March 10, 2019, to June 30, 2019. Q samples of 37 statements and P samples of 36 persons were taken using PC QUANL software. Results: As a result of the study, four types of coping with violence experiences were identified; these four types explained 53.79% of all variables from the examination. The types were labeled as the cooperation seeking and manual emphasis type, emotional suppression and stability seeking type, active response and business continuation type, communication empathy and recovery effort type. Conclusion: The Fire Department requires institutional measures to lower violence during field activities, and it will be necessary to develop a policy according to the type of perception of coping behaviors.

본 연구에서는 119 구급대원의 폭력경험 시 어떻게 대처하고 있는지에 관한 포괄적인 진술문을 수집하기 위하여 국내외 관련 문헌고찰, 개별 심층 면담과 개방형 질문지를 통해 Q-모집단을 추출하였다. 심층면담과 개방형 질문지는 본 연구에 대한 목적을 설명 한 후 참여를 희망하는 1급응급구조사, 2급응급구조사 자격 및 간호사 면허를 소지한 119 구급대원 10명을 대상으로 하였다.
이에 본 연구는 구급대원에게 심층 면접을 통해 개개인의 느낌, 의견, 선호, 감정, 등을 밝혀내어 유사성에 따라 분류하고 각 대처유형에 맞는 대응방안을 찾는 것이 더 적합하다.
첫째, 폭력을 경험한 119 구급대원의 대처에 대한 주관적 인식 구조를 파악한다.

대상 데이터

P-표본 연구 대상자는 17개 시·도에 소속된 서울·경기·강원 권역 11명, 경상권 9명
본 연구는 17개 시·도에 속한 119 구급대원 중 1급, 2급 응급구조사 자격증과 간호사 면허증을 소지하고 구급대원으로서 현장에서 구급활동을 하면서 폭력 경험이 있는 119 구급대원으로 서울·경기·강원권 11명, 경상권 9명, 충청권 9명, 전라·제주권 7명으로 총 36명이다.
본 연구의 자료 수집은 2019년 3월 10일부터 2019년 6월 30일 까지였으며 1급응급구조사, 2급응급구조사 자격과 간호사 면허를 소지한 119 구급대원에게 총 4단계로 진행하였다.
본 연구에서는 119 구급대원의 폭력경험 시 어떻게 대처하고 있는지에 관한 포괄적인 진술문을 수집하기 위하여 국내외 관련 문헌고찰, 개별 심층 면담과 개방형 질문지를 통해 Q-모집단을 추출하였다. 심층면담과 개방형 질문지는 본 연구에 대한 목적을 설명 한 후 참여를 희망하는 1급응급구조사, 2급응급구조사 자격 및 간호사 면허를 소지한 119 구급대원 10명을 대상으로 하였다. 개별 심층 면담은 구급대원의 폭력경험에 대한 솔직한 생각을 심도 있게 파악하고자 1인당 40분∼1시간 30분 정도 소요 되었으며 구급대원들의 근무요건을 고려하여 휴일에 만나 면담을 진행하였다.
충청권 9명, 전라·제주권 7명으로 119 구급대원 36명을 대상으로 연구 목적과 진행절차를 설명한 뒤 참여의사가 있는 대상자에게 동의를 얻고 시행하였다.

이론/모형

본 연구는 폭력을 경험한 119 구급대원의 대처에 대한 인식유형을 탐색하고 구체적인 특성을 파악하여 폭력을 경험한 119 구급대원들을 위한 대책 마련과 대응조치에 필요한 정책을 개발하는데 기초자료를 제공하고자 Q-방법론을 적용하여 시행하였다.

성능/효과

폭력을 경험한 119 구급대원의 대처에 대한 인식유형 결과는 협력추구 매뉴얼 중시형, 감정억제 안정감 추구형, 적극적 대응 업무지속형, 소통 공감 회복노력형의 4개의 유형으로 도출되었다.
