복지관 이용 노인의 사회적 지지가 회피적 대처방식의 매개효과를 통하여 자살생각에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 복지관 이용 노인의 사회적지지회피적 대처방식매개효과를 통하여 자살생각에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위한 목적으로 시도되었다. 연구방법은 G시에 소재한 4곳의 노인복지관을 이용하는 노인 392명을 대상으로 한 서술적 조사연구로, 2019년 10월 21일부터 11월 8일까지 자료를 수집하였다. 연구 통계방법은 IBM SPSS/win 26.0 프로그램으로 t-test, ANOVA, Scheff's test, 피어슨 상관관계를 분석하였고, 매개효과는 Baron과 Kenny의 3단계분석 절차에 따른 다중회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 대상자의 사회적지지의 평균점수는 5.73±1.23점으로 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 회피적 대처방식은 12.53±3.47점, 자살생각은 6.21±2.06점으로 회피적 대처방식과 자살생각의 점수 모두 매우 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 각 변수들 간의 상관관계에서 자살생각은 사회적지지(r=-.151, p=.004)와 음의 상관관계 있었으며, 회피적 대처방식과(r=.315, p<.001)는 통계적으로 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 노인복지관 이용 노인의 회피적 대처방식은 사회적지지와 자살생각의 관계를 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다(Z=-2.97, p<.001). 따라서 지역사회 노인들의 자살생각과 같은 부정적인 정서를 사전에 예방하고 방지하기 위해 지역 및 정부차원의 다양한 정책과 지원이 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다.
