본 연구는 국내 사회과학 분야 학술지의 국제화 전략 개발의 일환으로 문헌정보학 분야 연구자를 대상으로 개발된 학술지 선정요인 모형이 사회과학 분야에서도 일반화하여 적용할 수 있는지를 파악하고자 학술지 선정요인에 대한 측정 동일성 검증을 실시하였다. 이를 위해 2014년부터 2016년까지 국내에서 발행된 사회과학 분야 SSCI 및 Scopus 등재학술지에 논문을 출판한 연구자 146명으로부터 설문 응답을 수집하였다. 문헌정보학과 사회과학 연구자 집단 간의 측정 동일성을 분석한 결과, 형태 동일성과 부분 측정단위 동일성을 만족하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 두 집단에 걸쳐 학술지 선정 요인구조가 동일하고, 유사한 요인부하량을 갖는 것을 의미한다. 부차적으로 집단별로 학술지 선정요인 지표변수에 대한 인식을 살펴본 결과, 두 집단 모두 동료평가와 주요 색인 데이터베이스 등재 여부를 중요시하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 출판사나 학회가 양질의 논문을 투고 받기 위한 전략을 수립하고, 학술지 품질을 개선하는 데 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
