발달 장애 아동의 성교육 현황을 조사하고 성교육 프로그램의 효과적인 운영을 위하여 특수 교육 기관 및 장애 아동 보육 서비스에서 근무하는 12명의 교사를 선정하였다. 문헌 고찰을 통해 3개 주제에 대한 의견과 요구 사항을 파악하기 위해 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 실시했다. 장애 아동 성교육의 경우 교육의 방향이 일관되지 않고 개인의 특성과 욕구를 고려되지 않아 성교육 운영의 어려움이 파악되었다. 이에 발달 장애 아동의 발달 단계를 고려한 성교육 지침의 구체적인 사례와 높은 접근성을 포함하는 성교육 프로그램을 제안하고자 한다.
