본 연구는 도서관 자료의 공동보존과 효과적인 활용을 위한 정책수립의 근거를 제시하기 위해 관종별 사서(사서교사 포함)들을 대상으로 인식조사를 실시하고 설문결과를 분석하였다. 분석결과 사서들의 공동보존자료관에 대한 종합적 인지도는 관종별 특성과 관계없이 높게 나타났으며 광역단위 공동보존 운영주체로는 지역대표도서관이 관종을 통합하여 운영하는 것이 적합한 것으로 분석되었다.
