본 연구는 언택트 시대의 간호학과 신입생의 대인관계와 자아존중감이 의사소통 능력에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상은 W시에 소재한 일 개 대학 간호학과 1학년 336명이었다. 자료수집은 2020년 05월 11일에서 2020년 05월 21일까지였고, 수집된 자료는 t-test, Person's correlation coefficient, multiple regression analysis로 분석하였다. 연구결과 대상자의 대인관계 능력은 자아존중감, 의사소통 능력과 정적 상관관계를 보였고, 자아존중감과 의사소통 능력도 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 의사소통 능력에 영향을 미치는 대인관계 하부요인은 의사소통, 이해성, 개방성, 민감성, 만족감으로 나타났다. 언택트 시대에 간호학과에 입학한 학생들의 의사소통 능력 향상을 위한 노력이 필요하며, 대인관계 능력과 자아존중감을 활용하여 의사소통 능력을 높일 수 있는 교육중재 방안이 필요할 것으로 본다.
