2020년 일부 연구자에 의해 특정 부분만 연구되어왔던 "6·25전쟁 군사기록물"의 디지털화가 완료되었으며 대국민 공개로 전환되어 디지털화된 자료를 누구나 이용할 수 있게 되었다. 이 기록들을 어떻게 효과적으로 활용하고 기록적 가치를 창출할 수 있을 것인지에 대한 고민을 바탕으로 주로 관리하는 국가기록원, 전쟁기념관, 육군 기록정보관리단의 관리 현황 및 활용정보를 기반으로 경남 함양이라는 특정 지역을 대상으로 문제점을 분석하고 이를 보완할 수 있는 메타데이터 요소 개발과 디지털아카이브 구축, 전쟁 기록 간 연계성 강화, 교육 및 전시 서비스와 다양한 형태의 연구자료 제공을 제안한다.
