This study investigated the accuracy and validity of shuttle-run test by confirming the relationship of cardiopulmonary function assessment between respiratory gas analysis and shuttle-run test. The subjects were mainly targeted for 68 people of a domestic youth athletic, tennis and judo player, it was measured maximum oxygen consumption by graded treadmill test. 20m Shuttle Run Test was executed in the gym, and blood lactate and heart rate were measured for identifying of recovery function after exercise. The data processing of this study is calculated the average and the average deviation using SPSS 12.0 statistics program, regression analysis and correlation analysis are used for defining the connection with the cardiopulmonary function assessment by Suttle-Run Test. The results of this study are as follows. 1) When it compared with the results of direct measurement of respiratory gas analysis and VO₂max by equation of four Suttle-Run Test, it was generally shown high correlation coefficient, the order is Y1(r=.621), Y2(r=.550), Y3(r=.727), Y4(r=.680) and Y3 was the highest. It is indicated that Shuttle-Run Test have validity in the cardiopulmonary function assessment through regression analysis. 2) The connection with the recovery capability of heart rate, lactic acid and maximum oxygen consumption by Shuttle-Run Test is not shown the similar correlation with another factors except heart rate immediately after test. Therefore, it does not have validity that the recovery capability of heart rate, lactic acid happens through Shuttle-Run Test. In conclusion, I think Shuttle-Run Test by youth athletics, tennis and judo players is impacted positively in the cardiopulmonary function assessment. As well as, I suppose it is proper to predict maximum oxygen consumption considering sex, age, the physical characteristics and it is necessary to develop proper regression analysis of cardiopulmonary function assessment in the further study.
