This study examined the difficulties in the execution of the contents of the experiment of making copper sulfate crystal in the 7th Elementary school science textbooks. The experiment was a learning followed by the learning about molecules which showed the conception of the transformation of objects and was in the part of 'the consistency of liquid'. This study suggested a method of experiment different from existing one. In the 7th curriculum the experiment of making copper sulfate crystal was added to the experiment of making various crystals which was included in the part 6th of 'the consistency of liquid' in the science subject of the 5th grade. However, it showed that the solvent, solute, and tool necessary for the experiment were obscure in amount, leave the tool and the periods time of class for some result were not provided, and even there wasn't any result in a certain periods of time. In order to have some solution to these problems, including the identification of the result in a possible shorter periods of time, in this class, a different method was employed. Unlike given method which allowed for formation of crystal by cooling the water which had been saturated by copper sulfate, six copper compounds were added by diluted sulfuric acid solution for a chemical reaction to form the crystal of copper sulfate. The findings from the new experiment are as follows. First, the crystal of copper sulfate could be gained in the chemical reaction between copper compounds and diluted sulfate. Second, especially a consistency of diluted sulfuric acid solution 2M among several ones could provided the best crystal, especially in the reaction with CuO, a proper crystal could be identified within one hour. In addition, largely the formation of crystal spent less time. Third, the form of CuO and Cu(CH₃COO)₂ looked like a layer of a rock, and CuO did not react with diluted sulfuric acid solution in the room temperature and needed some heat. Fourth, though there was difference in time between each of six copper compounds and a diluted sulfuric acid solution of 2M, all the compounds formed the crystal of copper sulfate. Fifth, Cu powder and conc-sulfuric acid solution did not showed any reaction. As mentioned, a new method trial also showed the possibility of making the crystal of copper sulfate, and it even had an advantage of showing a faster and clearer result. This means that elementary school laboratory could have safer alternatives to given experiments, and they could consider small scale chemistry which have an effect on the maximization of learning as well as an economical efficiency.
