This study examined effects of Kinder therapy on interaction development of maladjusted children. The following research questions were set: first, whether or not kinder therapy affects the development of interaction ability of young children; second whether or not kinder therapy affects decrease of maladjusted behavior. In this study, participants were two teachers having difficulties in interaction with their students. Based on a theory by Child-centered play therapy, Kinder therapy was carried out. And the Kinder therapy has five subscales including acceptance, reflection, sympathy, restriction, encouragement. Kinder therapy was provided prior to the training session by 2 times for one session with totally 4 session. In the main kinder therapy program, sessions were conducted 2 times per week, lasting for thirty minutes per one session with totally 7 session. The change of teacher's interaction ability was measured by questionnaires with regard to the pre-post comparison of the teacher-reported interaction ability and it was qualitatively analyzed by reconstructing the verbal and non-verbal react of interaction ability teacher's in each session. In order to measure the extent of changes of behavior, the evaluation of maladaptive behaviors was administered and also teacher's interviews were qualitatively analyzed. The results of this study are as follows. First, Kinder therapy enhanced teachers' interaction ability with maladjusted young children. Second, the number of maladjusted behavior of young children was decreased through Kinder therapy. One limitation is a minor-case experimental research. However, Kinder therapy could be known to be effective for enhancing interaction and decreasing maladjusted behavior of young children.
