Indonesia is the fourth largest country in the world in terms of population with a population of 260 million. It has recorded a high annual average economic growth rate of 5.9% over the last five years thanks to its wide territory and abundant natural resources. Therefore, it has been emerging as a newly-rising promising export market that can replace China and Vietnam as the largest economic bloc among ASEAN countries. Indonesia has the largest number of Internet users among Southeast Asian countries as the number of Internet and mobile users has increased rapidly thanks to the rapid diffusion of Internet environments and the expansion of supply of low-priced smartphones. The online circulation market in Indonesia has been showing rapid growth based on young populations in their twenties and thirties. The Indonesian online circulation market is becoming an important channel for relatively easy entry compared to the offline market that cannot be easily entered due to diverse non-tariff barriers. Although the prospect of growth of the Indonesian online circulation market is relatively bright, accurate understanding of consumer characteristics is necessary to enter the market because it is the world largest halal market and the religions, cultures and ethnicity of the population in the market are quite diverse. Therefore, in this study, questionnaire surveys were conducted with Indonesia consumers who had actually purchased South Korean products through online shopping malls to conduct empirical analyses with the survey data to figure out why they purchased South Korean products, how much they were satisfied with the products after purchase, and whether they have repurchase intentions thereby deriving policy implications. The demographic characteristics of the samples were analyzed and the results indicated that women's commitment to purchases from online shopping malls was higher compared to men and that when seen by age, those aged below 30 years were major online shopping mall customers with a percentage of 72.7%. When seen by residence, Java Island (81.1%) was identified as the central business area of Indonesian online shopping, and it was shown that Indonesian consumers were purchasing South Korean products mainly from online shopping malls such as Lazada, Tokopedia, and Bukalapak (The three companies' market share was 64.8%). In addition, it was shown that Indonesian consumers were mainly purchasing cosmetics, fashion clothing products, and home appliances (These three items accounted for 61.5% of entire products purchased) among South Korean products through online shopping malls, and that the proportions of household items, accessories, and food products were also increasing. Indonesian consumers were shown to regard quality and brand images as more important than prices when they purchase South Korean products, and were also shown to have been positively affected by the Korean Wave. In addition, they were shown to prefer bank account transfers using ATM machines, mobile phone (mobile) payments, and COD cash payments as payment methods when they purchase South Korean products from online shopping malls. Next, the research hypotheses were tested and the results indicated that all of product quality, product prices, and product diversity have significant positive(+) effects on post-purchase satisfaction and repurchase intentions. Among them, product images were shown to have the largest effect on post-purchase satisfaction and product quality was shown to have the largest effect on repurchase intentions. Therefore, to enhance Indonesian consumers' post-purchase satisfaction and repurchase intentions, attention should be paid to display to improve product images in online shopping malls so that the product images can be helpful for consumers' purchase decisions and quality competitiveness should be secured. With regard to the characteristic factors of logistics service, the speed and accuracy of delivery were shown to have the largest effect on post-purchase satisfaction and repurchase intentions. These findings indicate that in order to improve post-purchase satisfaction and repurchase intentions in the field of logistics service, it is necessary to construct an efficient delivery system that can deliver the ordered products quickly and accurately and it is important to provide shipping charge discount benefits to the purchasers in diverse forms, while providing diverse options of delivery methods. With regard to the characteristic factors of online shopping malls, it was shown that reliability, usefulness, and convenience have positive effects on post-purchase satisfaction and among them, reliability has the greatest effects on post-purchase satisfaction and repurchase intentions. Therefore, it is important for firms to secure reliability to purchasers in terms of the information provided by the online shopping malls, the quality of the products, payments, and protection of personal information. The image of Korean wave was also shown to affect consumers' post-purchase satisfaction indicating that active Korean wave marketing is important. Therefore, when establishing export strategies, South Korean firms should link their products with Korean wave content such as dramas, movies, food, and music to attract Indonesia consumers to online shopping malls and actively utilize the Korean wave in marketing so that Indonesia consumers can show loyalty. Finally, based on the results of empirical analysis, case analysis, and expert interviews, this study presented an export strategy for successful entry into the Indonesian online circulation market from the perspective of marketing 4P and presented the role of the government and the direction of support for areas where firms' effort has limitations. First, at the level of firms, it is necessary to concentrate marketing on young Indonesian consumers living in Java Island in their 20s or 30s who are familiar with the Internet environment and active in the utilization of SNS through smart phones. First, as product strategies, product development and changes reflecting the characteristics of the halal market, the promotion of product localization reflecting the desires and needs of local consumers, and efforts to enhance product differentiation from competitors such as China are necessary. As price strategies, setting niche prices for differentiation from competitors such as China, the construction of a convenient and easy online payment system, the reduction of logistics costs, and diverse efforts to improve price competitiveness such as procuring local products are necessary. As distribution strategies, the construction of fast logistics and delivery systems and halal logistics systems, the construction of new distribution networks through online seller localization, online distribution and sales network diversification for test markets, and efforts to enter the market together with domestic online distributors are necessary. In addition, as sales promotion strategies, mobile marketing using SNS, product image enhancement using the Korean wave, reinforcement of product promotion through global online distribution platforms, and reinforcement of utilization of diverse promotional events of online distribution platform companies are necessary. Meanwhile, at the government level, first, distribution channel diversification should be supported by opening K-Shops in various online shopping malls, which are popular among consumers, so that the K-Shops can be utilized as SMEs' export channels. Second, to construct a fast and accurate delivery system for ordered products and to reduce logistics costs, a joint logistics center should be established at the site or support should be provided so that the logistics and delivery systems of domestic firms that entered the local market can be utilized. Third, since halal certification is a prerequisite for entering the market given the characteristics of the Indonesian Muslim market, the acquisition of halal certification should be supported from various angles and support should be provided so that halal certification would not become a hindrance to market entry. Fourth, considering the difficulties of South Korean companies due to their lack of information on the Indonesian market, it is necessary to establish a market information collection system or related organizations that can systematically collect and provide high quality market information to companies. Fifth, a base that will enable South Korean companies to actively utilize the Korean wave in business should be formed so that South Korean products can be promoted and demand can be created through online distribution platforms. In conclusion, although this study has a limitation that it is an exploratory study, in that it presented export strategies for South Korean SMEs' entry into the Indonesian market, the role of the government, and support plans based on analyses of the current situation and characteristics of the Indonesian online circulation market, problems in the entry, and entry cases, it seems to make some contribution because it seems to be able to help South Korean SMEs that are planning to enter the Indonesian market.
