In this paper, we propose a method of designing a cooperative robot system in consideration of work safety in the existing work process. Through this, we will present guidelines to those who have had difficulties in introducing a cooperative robot system due to reasons such as a lack of understanding of the characteristics of the cooperative robot and lack of ability to respond to the safety certification related to the cooperative robot. The cooperative robot system is divided into three types depending on the type of cooperation. The first is that people and robots share both the workplace and the working time. In this case, humans and robots work together in the same space, sharing the entire task, and proceeding at the same time. The second is that humans and robots share workspaces, but the working hours are separate from each other. In this case, humans and robots work together in the same space, divide the entire task and proceed in sequence. The third is that the working space between humans and robots is separate, but the working time is a form that they share with each other. In this case, humans and robots share the entire work in their respective spaces and do it simultaneously. In this study, the three types of cooperative robot systems were defined and classified using the term CO-TYPE, the selection method of CO-TYPE according to the risk of work considering the safety of work was presented, and the countermeasures for safety certification by CO-TYPE were also proposed.
