Existing industries have been developed with the goal of maximizing corporate profits by ignoring the environmental aspect and satisfying the increasing demand of consumers. Industrialization has brought overall wealth and a better life, but it has also accelerated negative environmental impacts such as climate change and global warming. In particular, the fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries that adversely affect the environment, such as energy consumption, soil, water, and air systems during the manufacturing and dyeing process (Leal Filho et al., 2019), and the carbon generation due to the fast fashion system is It has been criticized for being the second most polluting industry after the oil industry (Alter Net, 2015). Despite the continued growth of the luxury market, luxury brands have so far abused animals to obtain fur and leather, causing pollution by generating significant waste in the manufacturing process. It has also been criticized for its unethical and unsustainable practices, such as burning unsold inventory as a marketing strategy, conducting animal testing to verify human safety, and exploiting the labor force of factory workers, particularly in developing countries. Fortunately, recently, luxury brands have begun to become conscious of the increasing level of consumer interest and awareness about sustainability and to first accept and solve consumer problems, and to maintain the value of luxury goods while maintaining product quality and differentiation. They are trying to take a more intrinsic approach to sustainable fashion in order to increase them (Grail Research, 2010), and are starting to use the concept of sustainability as their marketing strategy (Song & Ko, 2017). However, in the literature between 2007 and 2018, there were few studies to understand sustainability within the luxury market, and several overseas studies raised the issue of sustainability of luxury and investigated the compatibility between luxury and sustainability, but overall consistency. showed no results. Therefore, this study reflects the consumer's point of view, through the case of sustainable fashion luxury, focusing on the Value-Based Adoption Model (VAM) of Kim et al. (2007), the Perceived Consumption Value of consumers for sustainable fashion luxury goods purchase intention The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of luxury brand awareness and the moderating role among the factors, and through this, we tried to understand consumers' consumption behavior toward sustainable luxury goods, and help to find a sustainable solution for fashion luxury brands in the future. In this study, an online survey was conducted to empirically identify the research question. The subjects of this study were domestic male and female consumers with an average age of 38.96 years, and they were asked to respond to the questionnaire while recalling the sustainable virtual luxury brand presented in the questionnaire. A total of 260 copies of the collected response data were statistically analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program. As a result of the study, it was found that perceived benefits and perceived sacrifices for sustainable fashion luxury goods had a significant effect on purchase intention through Perceived Consumption Value as a medium. In this case, the perceived benefit had a positive (+) effect on all Perceived Consumption Values, and the perceived sacrifice had a negative (-) effect on the Perceived Consumption Value and hedonic value. In addition, it was confirmed that the perception of luxury value set as a control variable only had an effect on the perceived benefit, Perceived Consumption Value, and practical value of sustainable fashion luxury goods. First, this study is significant in that it conducted an empirical study on the purchase intention of sustainable fashion luxury goods, which has hardly been covered in previous studies on sustainability. Second, it determines the major antecedent factors of sustainable fashion luxury purchase intention. It has academic significance in that the Value-Based Adoption Model (VAM) is extended to the social sciences by supplementing the existing literature by providing an acceptance model that have Third, at an important time when social interest in sustainable fashion is growing, this study extracted sub-factors of sustainable fashion luxury goods that have not yet been sufficiently studied and identified their effect on Perceived Consumption Value and luxury purchase intention. It also has academic significance. In particular, it has practical significance in that it confirmed the importance of the Perceived Consumption Value of consumers in the purchase intention of sustainable fashion luxury goods. Through this, it provides implications for what areas should be focused on in establishing a brand's sustainability value in the fashion luxury industry.
