The purpose of this study was to examine the following effects on subordinate's innovative behavior; the impact of the supervisor's innovative behavior; the influence of the ethical leadership; and the outcome of the supervisor's abusive supervision. This research also discussed the moderating effects of the ethical leadership and supervisor's abusive supervision. In order to empirically investigate these relationships, this study collected data from questionnaire surveys. A total of 321 questionnaires were collected. Excluding dishonest answers, 254 valid questionnaires remained. The empirical analysis was carried out using statistical procedures SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 25.0. The results of this study are as follows.
First of all, the supervisor's innovative behavior have a positive impact on the subordinate's innovative behavior. In addition, ethical leadership has also had a positive impact on subordinate's innovative behavior, but the supervisor's abusive supervision has no effect on the subordinate's innovative behavior.
Secondly, through ethical leadership, the supervisor's innovative behavior have a positive influence on the subordinate's innovative behavior. However, the supervisor's abusive supervision has no regulatory effect on the supervisor's innovative behavior and the subordinate's innovative behavior.
Finally, it can be seen from the results that for the smooth development of an enterprise, innovative behavior in the organization are very important. The results of this study further confirm the importance of ethical leadership to innovative behavior. Innovation is an effective way to prevent being eliminated by a competitive economic environment. Future studies can focus on ethical leadership, which can increase the positive influence of individuals and organizations on innovative behavior.
