치매란 무엇인가? 치매는 인간이 가진 여러 가지 인지기능인 기억력, 주의력, 언어기능, 시공간 능력과 판단력을 포함한 전두엽 집행기능 등의 장애가 발생하여 일상생활이나 사회 생활을 하는데 어려움을 초래하는 상태를 말하는 것으로, 치매라고 정의할 때는 기억력을 포함하여 다른 인지기능 중 한 가지 이상의 장애가 있는 경우를 말한다3).
