우리나라의 뇌사 기증자가 낮은 이유는 무엇인가? | 44 정도로 낮은 것으로 나타났다[3]. 이러한 배경에는 많은 요인들이 있겠지만 Kim [5]은 뇌사인정에 대한 공감대가 형성되지 않고 있고, 전통적인 유교사상의 영향, 사체훼손에 대한 두려움, 가족 간의 장기기증에 대해서는 관대하나 타인에 대한 장기기증에 소극적인 가족 중심적인 사고방식 등 우리나라 고유의 문화적, 윤리적 영향을 많이 받고 있다고 설명하고 있었다. 따라서 뇌사 장기기증에 대한 올바른 지식과 긍정적 사고 및 장기기증 문화 정착 및 확산을 위해서는 다양한 교육 및 홍보 활동과 함께 관련 연구들도 필요하다. |
