경제 사회의 발달로 인한 영향은 무엇인가? 오늘날 눈부신 경제 사회의 발달로 인한 여성의 높은 교육수준과 사회진출이 증가하면서 남성의 영역으로 간주되어 온 정치, 경제, 법 등 다양한 공공의 분야에서도 여성들의 진출은 급격히 증가하고 있다[1]. 한국의 가부장적 사회구조와 유교적 가치관의 잔재는 여전히 여성 본인의 선택과는 상관없이 전반 적인 사회인식이 이혼여성으로 하여금 숙명적인 피해자의 삶으로 살아가도록 만드는 경향이 있다[2,3].
참여자들에게 나타난 "복 없는 여자의 운명" 적인 인생관은? 두 번째 중심의미는 ‘복 없는 여자의 운명’이었다. 본 연구참여자들은 친정 엄마의 이혼이 자신에게 대물림되었고, 이혼한 자신의 인생도 자녀들에게 대물려질 것이라는 운명론적 인생 관이 드러났다. 특히 ‘복 없는 여자의 운명’으로 도출된 주제를 분석해 보면, 자신들의 삶이 독자적이고 독립적인 측면이기 보다는 남편이라는 존재에 의해 좌우되는 의존적인 측면이 강하 게 드러났는데, 이는 한국의 유교적 가치관과 가부장적 사회구조의 특성이 본 연구의 고학력 전문직 이혼 중년여성들에게 여전히 남아있는 것으로 나타났다.
