본 연구는 방사선 치료 중인 암환자의 주관적 행복감을 향상시키기 위한 서비스를 탐색하기 위한 것이다. 백 한 명의 방사선 치료중인 암환자를 대상으로 설문조사하여 주관적 행복감에 영향을 줄 수 있는 자기의식과 증상 불편감을 파악하여, SPSS 20.0 프로그램을 이용하여 독립표본검정, 일원분산분석, 피어슨 상관분석을 시행하였다. 방사선 치료중인 암환자의 불편감은 피로감, 외모변화, 현기증, 식욕저하, 수면장애의 순으로 높게 나타났으며, 암환자의 주관적 행복감은 증상불편감이 낮을수록, 그리고 개인의 내면적인 의식이 높을수록 향상됨을 나타냈다. 따라서 방사선 치료기간 동안 주관적 행복감을 향상시키기 위해서는 증상불편감은 감소시키고, 개인의 의식수준을 향상시킬 수 있는 신체적 심리적 정서적 측면을 고려한 통합적 서비스가 필요하다. 이를 위해서는 기존의 서비스 프로그램의 보완과 환자의 편의를 고려한 치료병원과 지역암센터나 보건기관을 연계할 수 있는 시스템이 준비되어야 할 것이다.

제안 방법
본 연구에서는 먼저 대상자들의 일반적 특성, 질병 및 치료관련 특성 그리고 불편감, 자기의식, 주관적 행복감의 수준을 알아보고, 질병 및 치료관련 특성에 따른 불편감, 자기의식, 주관적 행복감의 차이를 분석 후, 불편감, 자기의식, 주관적 행복감의 상관관계를 살펴보고자 한다.
대상 데이터
본 연구의 취지를 이해하고, 참여를 수락한 만20세 이상의 암환자를 연구자가 편의 추출하였다. 대상자 수는 G*Power 3.1.2 프로그램에 따라 유의수준 α=.05, 중간 정도의 효과크기(effect size=.3), 검정력 1-β=.80을 기준으로 산출한 결과 필요한 표본수가 총 84명으로 나타났으나 결측율을 고려하여 110명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으나 설문의 내용이 불충분하여 101부만을 분석 자료로 이용하였다.
본 연구는 C대학 기관생명윤리위원회(제2013-17호)의 승인을 받아 진행되었으며, 자료 수집은 2013년 8월 1일부터 9월 11일까지 이루어졌다. 방사선치료센터를 방문하여 당일의 방사선 치료 전・후의 대상자에게 본 연구의 목적과 취지를 설명한 후 연구 동의서에 서명한 대상자에게 설문지 작성요령을 설명하고, 설문지를 배부하여 작성 후 회수하는 방법으로 실시하였다.
본 연구의 대상은 방사선치료가 가능한 대전 충정 소재의 종합병원 4곳에서 암 진단 후에 현재 방사선 치료를 받고 있는 암환자를 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구의 취지를 이해하고, 참여를 수락한 만20세 이상의 암환자를 연구자가 편의 추출하였다.
데이터처리

이론/모형
불편감은 McCorkle and Young (1978)이 도구화한 Symptom Distress Scale을 Uhm(1986)이 우리나라 암환자들에게 맞게 수정 보완한 도구를 사용하여 측정하였다. 총 18문항으로 오심, 불행감, 식욕부진, 수면 장애, 통증, 활동장애, 피로, 배변장애, 주의집중, 외모변화, 호흡곤란, 구토, 소화장애, 기침, 한기, 현기증, 열, 배뇨장애를 묻는 문항으로 구성되어 있다.
자기의식은 Fenigstein et al.(1975)이 개발한 자기 의식척도(Self-consciousness Scale)를 Kim(1992)이 번안하여 한국 실정에 맞게 개발한 도구를 사용하여 측정하였다. 총 28문항으로 사적 자기의식, 공적 자기의식, 사회적 불안의 3가지 하위요인으로 구성되어 있으며 5점 척도로 최저 28점에서 최고 140점까지 나타날 수 있다.
주관적 행복감은 Lyubomirsky and Lepper (1999) 가 개발한 주관적 행복감 척도(Subjective Happiness Scale)를 Kim(2007)이 번안하여 사용한 4문항으로 일상생활에서 느끼는 행복감 정도를 묻는 7점 척도로 측정한 값이다.
성능/효과
