코칭 리더십이란 무엇인가? | 코칭은 조직구성원 개인의 성과 개선을 돕기 위한 것이며 그들에게 대한 존경과 관심, 지지를 표현하는 배려라고 정의한 Fleishman(1957)외에도 많은 연구자들이 코칭에 대하여 다양한 정의를 내리고 있다[4]. 이를 정리해보면, 코칭 리더십은 조직구성원으로 하여금 자신에게 잠재된 능력을 스스로 발견하고 이를 적절하게 개발하고 활용하도록 도와주는 리더십의 한 종류라고 정의할 수 있다. 급변하는 사회에서 조직이 유연하게 대처하기 위해서 기존의 강한 리더십이 아닌 보다 수평적인 코칭과 리더십이 결합된 코칭리더십은 그 중요성을 꾸준히 인정받고 있다. | |

중간관리자들이 가지고 있는 책임은 무엇인가? | 중간관리자들은 조직이 갖고 있는 전략적 비전과 그것의 실질적인 운영의 중심에 있는 직위를 가진 조직의 구성원이라 할 수 있다[22]. 이들에게는 리더로서 목표를 달성하기 위한 지휘관으로써의 책임과, 최고관리자를 보좌하는 책임, 그리고 조직구성원들과의 원만한 관계를 유지하는 세 가지 책임을 가지고 있으며, 특히 부하직원들의 활동을 조정하는 능력이 반드시 요구된다[23]. 따라서 본 연구에서는 중간관리자들의 코칭리더십이 조직구성원들의 역량개발에 직접적인 영향력을 발휘한다고 보고 기업의 중간 관리자를 연구대상으로 선정하였다. |
