Purpose. This study was to explore the relations between self-efficacy, social support, college life adaptation and academic achievement of nursing students. Method. A descriptive study was conducted with a sample of 209 students enrolled in one college located in D City, and the data were collected during from May 14, to June 10, 2017. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, One way-ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient SPSS/WIN 21.0 programs. Results. Mean score for academic achievement was 3.06/4.5. Among college life adaptation there were significant differences between gender (t=9.13, p=.003), grade (F=7.07, p<.001). There were correlated between academic achievement in the nursing students, self-efficacy (r=.33, p<.001), social support (r=.31, p<.001), and college life adaptation (r=.42, p<.001). And there were correlated between self-efficacy (r=.16, p=.022), and social support (r=.22, p=.002). Conclusion. It was found that a higher degree of self-efficacy and social support, college life adaptation and academic achievement of nursing students. Therefore, to increase the academic achievement, between the social support, self-efficacy and college life adaptation are recommended.

대상 데이터

본 연구의 연구대상자는 D시에 소재하는 D대학교 간호대학생 대상으로 편의 표집하였으며, 본연구의 목적과 설문지에 대한 정보를 제공하고, 연구에 참여를 동의하고 서면 날인한 자를 대상 으로 하였다. 연구자의 윤리적 측면을 고려하여 설문자료는 연구자의 권리, 연구목적만으로 사용할 것, 연구 참여에 대한 비밀보장, 익명을 보장하고, 응답을 원하지 않을 경우에는 언제라도 철회 가능함을 설명하였다.
편의 표집대상자는 탈락률을 20%를 고려하여 연구대상 자는 233명으로 계획하여 수행하였으며, 221부가 회수되었다. 불충분한 응답을 보인 설문지 12부를 제외한 총 209부를 최종 분석하였다.

데이터처리

대상자의 일반적인 특성은 빈도와 백분율로 분석하 였으며, 각 변수의 특성은 평균과 표준편차로 분석하였으며, 일반적 특성에 따른 학업성취도 차이 검증은 independent t-test와 one-way ANOVA 로 분석하였다. 또한 자기효능감, 사회적 지지, 대학생활 적응 및 학업성취도 간의 상관관계는 Pearson correlation coefficient로 분석하였다.

이론/모형

본 연구에서는 Baker와 Siryk¹⁹⁾가 개발한 대학 생활 적응 척도를 참고하여 Cho와 Seo¹¹⁾가 수정· 보완한 도구를 사용하였다. 각 항목은 ‘전혀 그렇지 않다’ 1점에서 ‘매우 그렇다’ 5점으로 배점되 었으며, 점수가 높을수록 대학생활 적응 정도가 높음을 의미한다.
본 연구에서는 Park¹⁴⁾이 개발한 사회적 지지 도구를 Kim¹⁵⁾이 수정·보완한 도구를 사용하였다. 이 도구는 총 25문항으로, 각 문항은 ‘전혀 그렇지 않다’1점,‘매우 그렇다’5점까지의 Likert 척도이며, 점수가 높을수록 사회적 지지의 정도가 높음을 의미한다.
자기효능감은 Sherer 등¹⁷⁾이 개발한 자기효능감 도구를 Hong¹⁸⁾이 수정·보완한 사용하였다. 이 도구는 총 23문항의 일반적 자기효능감과 사회적 자기효능감 등 2개의 하위요인으로 구성된 5점 Likert의 도구이다.

성능/효과

본 연구 결과는 자기효능감, 사회적 지지, 대학 생활 적응은 학업성취도에 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었으며, 자기효능감, 사회적 지지는 대학생활 적응에 통계적으로 유의한 양의 상관관계가 나타났다.

후속연구

둘째, 간호대학생의 대학생활 적응과 학업성취 도에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 다각적으로 분석하지 못한 한계가 있으므로, 광범위한 요인들에 대한 탐색연구를 제언한다.
셋째, 본 연구 결과를 토대로 자기효능감과 사회적 지지, 대학생활 적응을 포함한 간호대학생의 학업성취도 향상 프로그램의 개발과 효과를 검증 하는 후속 연구를 제언한다.
첫째, 본 연구의 결과를 전체 간호대학생으로 일반화하기에는 한계가 있으므로, 확대연구를 제언한다.
