Objectives: This study provided students of University with CPR (cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training and investigated their knowledge on the training, attitude, level difference, and re-training necessity related factors to find the results as follows; Methods: Frequency and t-test was performed using SPSS 21.0, and were conducted according to the need for re-education in order to determine the determinants of the students. Results: The knowledge on CPR was 10.88 on average; training necessity, 3.43; emergency response ability, 3.39; and CPR performance level, 3.10. Factors determining re-training to maintain educational effect were found to increase with increase in school year (p<0.001), training necessity escalation (p<0.001), and decrease in confidence of performing CPR (p<0.01). Conclusions: Based on the findings above, it was found that, although CPR training is generally conducted in dental hygiene education, its training effect decreased with time in terms of implementation performance, compared with students' knowledge. Moreover, students who had completed the training strongly suggested the need for re-training. In this sense, schools will need to reinforce re-training as much as new training programs and the cycle needs to be as short as within 6 months for practical training system.

이에 졸업 후 치과 병 · 의원에서 근무해야 하는 치위생과 학생에게 기본심폐소생술 교육은 필수이며 이미 심폐소생술 교육을 받은 학생들을 대상으로도 재교육을 실시함으로써 임상 현장에서 심정지 환자를 최초로 목격하였을 때 신속하게 대처할 수 있도록 준비하는 것이 매우 중요하다고 사료되며 본 연구를 통해 심폐소생술에 대한 지식, 태도와 재교육에 관한 프로그램 개발에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.
제안 방법
본 연구는 A대학의 치위생과 재학생을 대상으로 기본 심폐소생술 교육이 치위생과 학생의 심폐소생술 관련지식, 태도와 재교육의 필요성에 관해 알아보기 위해 전체 재학생을 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 조사연구를 실시하였다. 설문지는 박[15]과 엄[16]의 도구를 수정 보완하여 일반적인 특성 7가지(성별, 학년, 종교, 형제 및 자매 수, 경제수준, 거주유형, 학비조달자)와 기본 심폐소생술 지식 15문항(정의, 응급사항, 뇌손상시기, 응급사항발생시 첫 행위, 비상연락, 심폐소생술순서, 반응관찰방법, 기도유지자세, 호흡확인, 인공호흡시기, 흉부압박방법, 완료시기 등), 기본 심폐소생술 태도 8개 문항(필요성, 교육수강여부, 교육 권유 여부, CPR수행여부, 가족의 CPR수행여부, 기도유지, 인공호흡, 흉부압박 수행여부) 기본 심폐소생술 교육 후 재교육필요성 관련변인 9문항(도움정도, 자신없는 술기, 관심교육매체, 교육시간, 자신감, 재교육필요성, 시기, 필요성 등)을 중심으로 구성되었다. 기본 심폐소생술 지식과 태도는 4점 척도로 측정하였고 점수가 높을수록 지식과 태도 정도가 높다고 할 수 있다.
대상 데이터
본 연구는 2015년 11월 1일부터 11월 30일까지 A시에 소재한 대학교 치위생과 1, 2, 3학년 365명을 대상으로 연구의 목적을 설명하고 동의서에 직접서명한 후 자기기입식으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 대상자들은 입학 후 3월에 의무적 심폐소생술을 교육하고 있으며 학년이 올라감에 따라 학생들의 심폐소생술에 대한 지식 및 수행능력 변화에 초점을 맞추어 조사하였다.

649로 나타났다. 또한 학생들의 재교육 요구 결정요인을 알아보기 위하여 재교육 필요여부에 따라 로지틱스 회귀분석을 실시하였고, 모든 분석의 유의수준 α=0.05로 하였다.
수집된 모든 자료는 IBM SPSS 21.0을 이용하여 통계분석을 하였으며, 대상자의 인구통계학적 특성별 분포는 빈도분석, 학년별 기본 심폐소생술 지식, 태도 및 재교육관련 변인의 인식차이는 독립표본 t-test와 ANOVA를 실시하였고 사후검정으로 Ducan test를 사용하였다. 기본 심폐소생술 태도문항의 신뢰성 검증결과 Cronbsch’α=0.
성능/효과
3. 심폐소생술 교육은 99.7%가 도움이 된다고 나타났고, 가장 자신 없는 분야는 인공호흡 44.7%, 흉부압박이 37.8%로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 관심교육 매체는 실습 마네킨이 80%, 교육 후 교육 전 보다 85.8%가 자신감이 생겼다고 나타났다.
4. 재교육의 필요성은 87.4%가 필요하다고 조사되었고, 재교육 시기는 6개월 후 42.9%, 1년 후 41.4%로 나타났다. 심폐소생술 교육시간은 전체 91%가 적정하다고 나타났고, 재교육의 필요성은 1학년 85.
이상의 결과로 볼 때 심폐소생술 교육은 치위생 교육에서 일반적으로 실시되는 교육이지만 학생들의 지식에 비해 실행여부는 교육시간이 지남에 따라 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 교육이수 학생들이 재교육의 필요성을 강하게 제시함에 따라 학교현장에서 신규교육 만큼 재교육이 강화되어 이루어져야 하며, 그 기간 역시 6개월∼1년 이내로 빠른 시간 안에 실시될 수 있는 실용성 있는 교육을 위한 시스템 구축이 필요하다고 사료된다.
후속연구
이상의 결과로 볼 때 심폐소생술 교육은 치위생 교육에서 일반적으로 실시되는 교육이지만 학생들의 지식에 비해 실행여부는 교육시간이 지남에 따라 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 교육이수 학생들이 재교육의 필요성을 강하게 제시함에 따라 학교현장에서 신규교육 만큼 재교육이 강화되어 이루어져야 하며, 그 기간 역시 6개월∼1년 이내로 빠른 시간 안에 실시될 수 있는 실용성 있는 교육을 위한 시스템 구축이 필요하다고 사료된다.
본 연구의 제한점은 일부지역 학생들의 심폐소생술 견해로 전체를 일반화하기 어려운 부분이 있으며, 간호학과 학생들 보다 치위생과 학생들에 대한 심폐소생술 연구가 부족하여 상대적인 비교가 어려운 부분이 있어 후속연구에서는 임상에 있는 치과위생사들에게 사례를 바탕으로 지식과 태도 평가가 이루어질 수 있길 바란다. 그럼에도 불구하고 본 연구는 치위생과 학생들의 심폐소생술에 대한 문제점과 재교육의 필요성을 강하게 제시하고 향 후 전공과목외 비교과 교육으로 심폐소생술교육과 재교육의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
