교사들이 ADHD 아동에 대해 좌절감과 소극적 행동을 보이게 되는 이유는? 교사에 의한 ADHD 아동의 조기발견과 효과적인 교수방법 및 치료 연계는 ADHD 아동의 예후에 중요한 영향 요인으로 작용한다[10]. 국내의 선행연구에 따르면, 교사들은 A DHD 아동을 올바른 방향으로 지도하기 위하여 다양한 교수방법을 시도하지만, ADHD에 대한 이해 부족과 교수법에 대한 뚜렷한 매뉴얼의 부재로 시행착오를 겪게 되고, 이에 좌절감과 소극적 행동을 보이게 된다[11]. ADHD 아동의 문제행동을 질병의 행동 특성으로 인지한 교사의 경우, 원인파악과 증상 완화를 위해 적극적으로 대처하고자 한다.
