폭력경험의 영향은? | 우리나라 119구급대원의 폭력경험을 살펴보면 2010년 122건, 2013년 145건, 2015년 198건으로 해마다 증가하고 있으나 폭력 가해자에 대한 처벌은 미미한 편이며 사회적인 관심도 부족한 상황이다[1]. 폭력경험은 신체적 및 정신적으로 부정적인 영향을 주어 심리적인 위축, 두려움, 공포, 불안 및 수치심을 느끼게 하며[2], 업무수행을 어렵게 하거나 자신 감을 저하시켜 업무에 대한 스트레스를 증가시키게 된다 [3-5]. 또한 업무에 대한 궁극적인 확신과 업무만족을 저하시켜 효율적인 업무수행의 저하요인으로 작용하게 된다[6-9]. | |
직무스트레스가 높을 경우 종사자들이 겪는 어려움과 그 방안은? | 한편, 직무스트레스는 어떤 조직에 잠재적으로 긴장 상태를 야기할 수 있는 모든 스트레스원을 가리키는 포괄적인 개념으로 조직구성원에게 요구되는 업무능력을 초과할 때 나타난다[10,11]. 직무스트레스가 높을 경우 종사자들은 자신의 직업에 대해 만족감이 저하되어 효과 적인 역할 수행을 기대하기 어려우며, 조직구성원의 건강상태뿐만 아니라 조직 전체에도 부정적인 영향을 미치기 때문에 직종에 따른 직무스트레스에 적절히 대처하고 관리하는 방법이 필요하게 된다[12,13]. 이 같은 관점에서 볼 때, 119구급대원은 특히 사고현장에서 가장 신속 하게 환자의 생명을 구해내고, 적절한 응급처치를 수행함은 물론, 병원까지 신속하게 후송해야하는 복합적인 구급업무 수행에 따른 강도 높은 직무스트레스를 경험하게 된다[14]. |
