다문화가정 청소년이 증가함에 따라 교육부에서는 다문화가정 청소년들의 학교적응 향상을 위해 어떤 노력을 하고 있는가? | 실제로 2018년 초·중·고등학교에 재학 중인 다문화가정 청소년의 수는 122,212명으로(Korean Educational Development Institute, 2019), 2014년에 67,806명이었던 것과 비교하면 4년 만에 두 배 가까이 증가하였음을 알 수 있다. 이와 같은 다문화가정 청소년의 증가에 대응하여 교육부에서는 ‘다문화가정 자녀 교육지원 대책’을 처음 수립한 2006년 이후, 다문화교육 중점학교를 운영하고 다문화가정의 자녀를 대상으로 대학생 멘토링을 실시하는 등 다문화가정 청소년들의 학교적응 향상을 위해 다양한 노력을 기울이고 있다. | |
