본 연구의 목적은 남자 간호대학생의 성 고정관념, 전공만족도 및 대학생활적응의 관계를 확인하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 본 연구는 2개의 광역시에 소재한 간호대학 간호학과에 재학 중인 남자 간호대학생 156명을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 자료수집은 2020년 4월 17일부터 2020년 6월 22일까지 해당 대학교에서 운영하는 온라인 교육프로그램을 이용하여 온라인 설문조사로 이루어졌다. 자료는 SPSS 21.0을 이용하여, 빈도와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, 상관분석, ANOVA로 이루어졌다. 연구결과, 남자 간호대학생의 성 고정관념은 2.66±0.56점, 전공만족도는 3.78±0.64점, 대학생활적응은 3.15±0.49점으로 나타났으며, 성 고정관념은 전공만족도와 대학생활적응에 음의 상관관계를, 전공만족도와 대학생활적응은 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 이상의 결과로 남자 간호대학생의 전공에 대한 만족도와 대학생활을 만족스럽게 보낼 수 있도록 하기 위해서는 성 고정관념을 낮추고 전공만족도와 대학생활적응을 높일 수 있도록 특성화된 교과과정의 개선을 통해서 간호 전문직인으로서의 가치관과 자부심을 양성하는 것이 필요하다.

This study was a descriptive survey study that investigated the relationship between male stereotypes, gender stereotypes, major satisfaction, and college life adaptation. This study was conducted on 156 male nursing students enrolled in the Department of Nursing, Nursing College in two metropolitan cities. The data were collected from April 17 to June 22, 2020 by online survey using an online education program operated by the university. The data were analyzed by frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation, correlation analysis, and ANOVA using SPSS 21.0. As a result of the study, male stereotypes scored 2.66±0.56 points for gender stereotypes, 3.78±0.64 points for major satisfaction, and 3.15±0.49 points for college life adaptation, and gender stereotypes were negative for major satisfaction and college life adaptation. There was a positive correlation between major satisfaction and adaptation to college life. As a result, in order to ensure that male nursing college students are satisfied with their majors and enjoy their college life, their values as professional nursing professionals can be improved through a specialized curriculum that aims to reduce gender stereotypes and improve both major satisfaction and adaptation to college life, with the goal of nurturing self-esteem.proves major satisfaction and adaptation to college life. 대상 데이터

본 연구의 대상자는 2개의 광역시에 소재한 간호대학 간호학과에 재학 중인 남자 간호대학생을 대상으로 편의 표집 하였다. 대상자 수는 G* power 3.
연구결과는 본 연구목적에만 사용됨을 밝힌 후 온라인 설문지에 포함된 연구의 취지와 목적을 읽고 동의한 경우 질문에 응답하도록 하였다. 온라인 설문지는 총 169부가 제출되었고, 이 중 불성실하게 응답한 13부를 제외한 156부를 분석에 사용하였다. 자료수집 기간은 2020년 4월 17일부터 2020년 6월 22일까지 실시하였다.

데이터처리

2) 일반적 특성에 따른 성 고정관념, 전공만족도 및 대학생활적응 정도를 확인하기 위해 t-test와 ANOVA를 실시하였고, 사후검증은 Scheffe’test를 실시하였다.

이론/모형

대학생활적응은 Baker와 Siryk[25]가 개발한 대학생활적응척도(Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire: SACQ)를 Lee[26]이 번안하고 수정ㆍ보완한 것을 사용하였다. 이 도구는 총 22문항으로 학업적 적응 8문항, 사회적 적응 3문항, 정서적 적응 63문항, 신체적 적응 3문항, 대학에 대한 애착 4문항으로 구성되어 있다.
전공만족도는 Illinois 대학에서 개발한 Program Evaluation Survey를 Ha[17]이 수정ㆍ보완한 것으로 총 34개 문항의 학과 만족도구 중 전공만족관련 18문항을 추출하여 사용하였다. 이 도구는 전공학문에 관한 일반만족 6문항, 전공에 대한 사회적 인식에 관한 인식만족 6문항, 교과에 관한 교과만족 3문항, 교수 학생 간의 관계만족 3문항으로 구성되어 있다.

성능/효과

대상자의 성 고정관념의 점수는 1~5점 중 2.66(0.56)으로 나타났으며, 전공만족도의 점수는 3.78(0.64)으로 나타났다. 또한 대학생활적응의 점수는 3.

본 연구는 남자 간호대학생의 성 고정관념, 전공만족도 및 대학생활적응의 관계를 알아보기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구결과, 남자 간호대학생의 성 고정관념이 높을수록 전공만족도와 대학생활적응은 낮아졌으며, 대학생활적응이 높을수록 전공만족도가 높게 나타난다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이상과 같은 결과를 볼 때, 남자 간호대학생의 성 고정관념에 대한 개선을 위한 노력이 필요함을 알 수 있으며, 남자 간호대학생의 대학생활적응을 돕기 위해서는 전공만족도를 높이는 방안을 체계적으로 관리 및 중재를 하여야 할 것이다.

후속연구

둘째, 남자 간호대학생들의 성 고정관념을 낮추고 전공만족도를 높이기 위한 교과 과정을 개발하여 그 효과를 검증하는 연구가 필요하다.
셋째. 기존 여성 중심 간호 직업군에서 변화되고 있는 과정을 인지하고 입학한 남학생들임에도 불구하고 성 고정관념이 높게 나타나는 이유, 성 고정관념과 만족도, 적응도가 음의 상관성임을 고려했을 때 실제적으로 개선하기 위한 교과 외 프로그램, 상대적으로 산부인과 실습 어려움 등의 개선안 등의 적용을 통한 효과분석에 관한 추후 연구가 필요하다.
첫째, 본 연구결과를 근거하여, 추후연구에서는 남자 간호대학생의 전공만족도와 대학생활적응에 영향을 주는 다양한 요인들에 대한 포괄적인 이해와 탐색을 통해 남자 간호대학생의 전공만족도와 대학생활적응을 예측하는 구조방정식 모형을 개발하는 연구가 필요하다.

	간호전문직에서 남성의 비율이 점차 증가되고 있는 이유는?	이렇듯 간호전문직에서 남성의 비율이 점차 증가되고 있는 이유는 직업선택에 있어 간호사의 성 고정관념에서 벗어나 성 평등이 이뤄지고 있으며, 간호사의 직업적 전문성과 안정성을 고려한 남학생들의 간호학과 입학이 증가되고 있다고 볼 수 있다[2]. 그러나 간호학과에 입학을 한 남학생들의 학과 적응 실패와 학업을 중단하는 경우가 여학생보다 많은데[3] 이는 간호사라는 여성 중심적 성 고정관념으로 인한 교육프로그램으로 남학생과 여학생에게 동등하게 교육하는 방식[4]과 함께 간호현장에서 남자간호사로서 느끼는 고립감과 돌봄이라는 개념이 여성 중심적 성에 강하게 동일시되어 있다는 성 고정관념과 편견, 역할혼돈의 경험 등으로 남성들이 전통적으로 선호하지 않는 직업을 선택했다는 사회적인 인식이 간호학과 남학생들의 학업 중단 여부에 영향을 주고 있는 것으로 나타났다[5].
