본 연구는 보건계열대학생들의 대인관계능력에 대한 대인관계성향 및 정서지능의 영향요인을 조사하기 위하여 2019년 11월 29일부터 12월 16일까지 B시의 일 대학교 간호학과 및 물리치료학과 재학생들에게 질문지조사를 시행하였다. 총 275명의 자료가 수집되었으며 수집된 자료는 SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 t-test, ANOVA, 상관분석, 다중회귀분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과, 보건계열대학생들의 대인관계능력은 평균 4.10, 8개 대인관계유형 중 사려성-비사려성의 평균점수가 가장 높았으며, 정서지능 평균은 2.73이었다. 보건계열대학생들의 대인관계능력에 대한 유의한 영향을 끼친 대인관계성향은 주도성-동조성, 공격성-비공격성이었고, 설명력은 29.4%였으며, 가장 영향력이 큰 대인관계성향은 주도성-동조성이었다. 또한 대인관계능력에 유의한 영향을 미친 정서지능은 자기감정표현, 타인조절, 동기화였고, 이들의 설명력은 24.0% 이었으며, 가장 영향력이 큰 정서지능은 동기화로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 보건계열대학생들의 대인관계능력 향상을 위한 교육에 있어 그들의 대인관계성향과 정서지능 요인을 고려할 것을 제안한다.

This study was conducted to confirm the influence of interpersonal disposition and emotional intelligence on interpersonal competence of allied health college students. For the research, a questionaire survey was conducted for students enrolled in the Department of Nursing and Physical Therapy from November 29 to December 16, 2019 and a total of 275 data were collected. Data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS program. As results of the study, the average of interpersonal competence was 4.10 and that of thoughtfulness-unconsideration was the highest among the eight interpersonal types and the average emotional intelligence was 2.73. The interpersonal dispositions that had a significant effect on interpersonal competence were initiative-congruence and aggression-non aggression and their explanatory power was 29.4% and the most influential interpersonal disposition was initiative-congruence. Emotional intelligence that had a significant effect on interpersonal competence were self-emotional expression, control of others and motivation and their explanatory power was 24.0% and the most influential emotional intelligence was motivation.

대인관계능력에 대한 대인관계성향별 영향력을 분석한 결과, 주도성-동조성, 공격성-비공격성 성향이 유의하였고, 이들의 설명력은 29.4%였으며, 주도성이 보건계열대학생들의 대인관계능력에 가장 영향력 있는 정적 대인관계 성향 요인으로 나타났다(그림1). 본 연구에서 주도성-동조성이 보건계열대학생들의 대인관계능력에 영향을 끼치는 주요 대인관계성향으로 나타난 것은 이들이 대학문화에서 만연한 개인주의의 분위기 속에 먼저 다가가 소통하고, 학업과 대학생활적응, 취업준비 등에서 적극적으로 솔선하며 이끌어가는 주도성이 관계형성과 문제해결에 가장 강점이 되는 관계성향이기 때문으로 사료된다.
연구결과, 보건계열대학생들의 대인관계성향은 사려성- 비사려성, 책임성-무책임성, 우월성-자기비하, 독립성-의존성, 경쟁성-비경쟁성, 주도성-동조성, 공격성-비공격성, 불신감-신뢰성의 순으로 높게 나타났다. 대인관계 능력은 대인 관계 성향 8개 유형 중 “불신감-신뢰감 성향”을 제외한 7개 유형과 정서지능 하위영역 7개 요인 모두와 유의한 상관을 나타내었다.

보건계열대학생들의 대인관계성향을 평가하여 학생들이 자신의 대인관계 특성을 인식하고 치료적 자기이용을 위해 장점을 강화하고 취약점을 보완하여 성숙을 지향할 수 있도록 돕는 한편, 학생들이 동료들을 존중하고 협력할 수 있는 경쟁 환경이 되도록 돕는 것이 필요하겠다. 또한 정서 지능영역의 고른 성장을 점검하고 돕는 한편 자기감정표현, 타인조절, 자기동기화 등 자신의 정서를 적극적으로 표현하고 변화를 도모하는 행동으로 이어질 수 있는 환경 조성이 이들이 대인관계 능력 향상에 도움이 될 것이다.
본 연구를 토대로, 보건계열대학생들을 위한 대인관계 능력 함양 프로그램 계획 시, 보건계열대학생들의 대인관계 성향과 정서지능을 반영할 것을 제안한다. 보건계열대학생들의 대인관계성향을 평가하여 학생들이 자신의 대인관계 특성을 인식하고 치료적 자기이용을 위해 장점을 강화하고 취약점을 보완하여 성숙을 지향할 수 있도록 돕는 한편, 학생들이 동료들을 존중하고 협력할 수 있는 경쟁 환경이 되도록 돕는 것이 필요하겠다. 또한 정서 지능영역의 고른 성장을 점검하고 돕는 한편 자기감정표현, 타인조절, 자기동기화 등 자신의 정서를 적극적으로 표현하고 변화를 도모하는 행동으로 이어질 수 있는 환경 조성이 이들이 대인관계 능력 향상에 도움이 될 것이다.
본 연구는 일 지역의 특정 보건계열대학생들을 대상으로 수행되어 연구의 결과를 일반화하기에는 제한이 있으므로 반복적인 후속연구를 제안한다.
본 연구를 토대로, 보건계열대학생들을 위한 대인관계 능력 함양 프로그램 계획 시, 보건계열대학생들의 대인관계 성향과 정서지능을 반영할 것을 제안한다. 보건계열대학생들의 대인관계성향을 평가하여 학생들이 자신의 대인관계 특성을 인식하고 치료적 자기이용을 위해 장점을 강화하고 취약점을 보완하여 성숙을 지향할 수 있도록 돕는 한편, 학생들이 동료들을 존중하고 협력할 수 있는 경쟁 환경이 되도록 돕는 것이 필요하겠다.
