초등학생의 양성평등의식에 관한 연구: 고학년을 중심으로

본 연구에서는 초등학교 고학년인 5, 6학년을 대상으로 양성평등의식을 확인함으로써 초등학교에서 효과적인 양성평등 교육을 위한 교육프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구는 G시와 A시에 소재한 3개의 초등학교에 재학 중인 5학년, 6학년을 대상으로 연구에 관해 설명하고 연구 참여를 희망하는 190명을 대상으로 설문지를 사용하여 자료 수집하였다. 대상자의 일반적인 특성은 빈도분석과 백분율을 사용하였고, 대상자의 성별, 학년, 형제 수 등에 따른 양성평등의식에 따른 차이는 t-test와 ANOVA를 이용하였다. 양성평등의식은 4점 만점에 평균 3.47점으로 나타났고, 하위영역은 사회문화생활 영역은 평균 3.51점, 가정생활 영역은 평균 3.49점, 학교생활 영역은 평균 3.47점, 직업생활 영역은 3.38점으로 나타났다. 학생들의 양성평등의식을 키워줄 수 있는 다양한 활동을 전개해야 하며, 가정, 학교, 사회는 공동으로 양성평등한 문화 풍토 조성을 위해 노력해야 할 것이다. 향후 초등학생의 양성평등의식에 미치는 영향요인을 규명하는 연구가 필요하다.
