이 연구에서는 2022개정 교육과정과 미래 교육의 패러다임에 부합하는 역량을 함양하기 위한 공교육의 방향과 내용을 모색하며 독서교육의 방안을 마련하고자 하였다. 복잡하고 다원적이며 급격한 정보통신 발전의 속도 속에서 정보를 읽고 선별하며 재구성하는 정보활용능력 뿐만 아니라 불확실한 미래와 다변적인 상황에 대응하는 변혁적 역량이 중요함에 따라 창의적이고 협력적인 문제해결의 방법 및 과정을 탐색하고 도출하기 위해 독서를 매개로 탐구하고 소통하는 경험을 부여하고자 하였다. 교육과정의 총론 및 각론, 국제 교육 프로젝트의 및 평가의 영약과 지표를 분석하고 학문적 이론과 연구를 정리하여 고등학교 독서교육의 방향과 목표를 설정하고 창의·융합 수업전략과 독서활동 내용을 구성하여 학교도서관 독서수업모형을 개발하였다. 독서수업모형은 독서교육 및 교육과정 관련 전문가 10명을 대상으로 2차에 걸친 델파이 조사를 실시하여 수정하였다. 델파이 조사를 통해 수정한 모형은 교육 현장에서 수업을 실연하고 적용평가를 통해 보완하여 최종 학교도서관 융합독서 수업모형을 개발하였다.
