한국인의 당류 섭취와 대사증후군간의 관련성: 2013-2016년 국민건강영양조사 자료를 이용하여

본 연구는 국민건강영양조사 제6기(2013-2015년), 제7기(2016년) 자료를 활용하여, 만 19세 이상 한국인 10,187명을 대상으로 당류 섭취량에 따른 대사증후군과의 관련성을 연구하여 당류 섭취로 인해 발생할 수 있는 만성질환의 발생 위험도를 확인하고 만성질환 예방을 위한 당류 저감화 영양 정책 수립과 관리를 위한 과학적인 근거자료로 사용하고자 하였다. 본 연구 결과 당류 에너지섭취비가 20% 미만인군은 남성 53.03%, 20% 이상인 군은 여성 63.29%로 나타났다. 흡연과 음주는 20% 미만인군이 더 높게 나타났으며, 소득과 운동은 20% 이상인군이 더 높게 나타났다. 영양소 섭취량의 경우 에너지, 단백질, 지방, 나트륨의 섭취량은 20% 미만인군에서 높게 나타났으며, 탄수화물, 칼슘, 칼륨, 비타민A, 리보플라빈, 비타민C의 섭취량은 20% 이상인군에서 높게 나타났다. 또한 20% 이상인 군에서 칼슘, 철, 칼륨, 비타민A, 리보플라빈, 비타민C의 섭취기준 비율이 20% 미만인군에 비해 높게 나타났다. 모든 혼란 변수 보정 시 혈압 이상의 발생 위험도는 당류 에너지섭취비가 20% 이상인군이 20% 미만인군에 비해 높게 나타났으며, 당류 섭취량이 가장 높은 그룹의 경우 가장 낮은 군에 비해 혈압 이상의 발병위험도가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과 당류 섭취의 증가는 대사증후군 관련 인자와 양의 상관관계를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구는 한국인의 만성질환 예방을 위한 당류 저감화 영양 정책 수립과 관리를 위한 기초자료를 마련하는데 유용한 정보로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
