본 연구는 대학생의 우울이 피로에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 그 관계에서 스마트폰 과의존의 매개효과를 파악하여 대학생들의 건강한 학교생활을 영위하는데 도움을 주고자 시도되었다. 일개 대학교에 재학중이 학생 193명을 대상으로 우울, 피로, 스마트폰 과의존 및 인구사회학적 특징으로 구성된 자가 보고식 설문지를 이용하여 자료를 수집하였으며, 자료 분석SPSS 25.0 과 PROCESS macro 프로그램을 이용하였다. 연구결과, 대학생의 우울은 피로에 유의한 미치는 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었고(F=8.180, p<.001), 우울이 스마트폰 과의존을 통해 피로에 영향을 미치는 부분매개효과도 유의하였다(B=.120, p<.001). 대학생들의 피로를 낮추기 위해서는 심리적인 요인을 포함한 중재프로그램이 필요하며, 스마트폰의 적절하게 사용하기 위한 노력이 함께 이루어져야 함을 시사한다.
