본 연구는 학습장애 학생에게 동화읽기 프로그램을 통한 말하기와 듣기능력인 언어표현력을 향상시키고자 한 연구이다. 3단계에 걸친 진단 ·선별과정을 통해 선정된 3명의 학생들에게 개인별 수준과 흥미를 고려한 중학교 1학년 국어교과서에 나오는 내용으로 전래동화, 창작동화, 명작동화 등 다양한 장르의 동화읽기프로그램을 구성하여 중다기초선 설계로 실시되었다. 연구결과 말하기능력은 발음 ·어휘, 문법, 자세 및 태도에서 긍정적인 변화가 있었으며, 듣기 능력 평가결과에서도 자세 및 태도 이해면에서 효과가 있었다. 뿐만 아니라 대상학생들의 소극적이고 무기력한 학습태도가 동화읽기 프로그램에 참여함으로써 적극적인 태도와 동화읽기 집중력이 높아졌으며, 동화를 통한 총체적 언어학습 적용으로 자아개념이 향상되었다.

The result of this research showed that they improved more in the field of speaking and listening of expressive language abilities. Concretely the conclusion of the application of the program of reading fairy tales is as follows. After taking the program of reading fairy tales, speaking ability and listening ability have improved rapidly which is, more in post period than before. more in while study period.
