The purpose of this study is to analyze the changes of early school children and teachers in number activities. For this study, a pre-set question is used. 1. How early school children and teachers change in number activities? The subjects of this study are 2 years old children of A class of D kindergarten in A city. This study has been implemented during 28 weeks from April. 4. 2017. to October. 31. 2017. The data for investigating the change or early school children and teachers in number activities was gathered through participatory observation, consultation, etc. Also, participatory observation, video recording, voice recording, experimental journal of early school children and consultation with parents are implemented. The gathered data is analyzed by organizing, categorizing, interpreting in order. The results of this study are as follows. First, the children's changes are categorized as 'numbering', 'comparing, space and figure', 'acknowledging orders', and 'using mathematical terminologies.' children could actively interact with teachers in number activities using mathematics terminologies thanks to teachers' timely appropriate verbal interaction and careful attention. However, if teachers frequently interfere in the activities, which reveals intended goals of the activity, it could make children lose interest and passive. That is, teachers appropriate interference and help meeting children's needs and interests and respecting their autonomy and spontaneousness not only helps children to raise their interests in mathematics but also positively affects to their abilities of counting numbers, comparing numbers, figuring out space, figures, and orders. Second, I cognitively approached to the teachers' change categorizing as keeping away from thinking ‘mathematics is a difficult subject’, ‘I have to teach mathematics’, and ‘watching children doing number activities’. while teachers observing number activities, they could build more close relationship with their children getting rid of pressures like ' mathematics is a difficult subject', 'I have to teach mathematics.' Also, teachers' attitude toward number activities are changed in terms of using mathematical questions and terminologies on purpose, giving children enough time to explore learning tools, and waiting them to respond to them.
