SF-36의 설문 작성은 어떻게 이루어지는가? 이 도구는 환자 자기 기입법, 직접 인터뷰, 전화 인터뷰 및 컴퓨터를 통한 설문 작성이 가능하며, 설문 작성 소요 시간은 약 5분 이내이다. 단 인터뷰 방식에서는 숙련된 질문자를 통해 이루어지도록 하여야 한다. Standard version에서는 최근 4주간의 상태를 평가하며 acute version에서는 최근 1주간의 상태를 평가한다6).
