본 연구에서는 대학졸업예정자의 Holland 유형에 따라 진로결정상태를 분석하고 진로결정상태에 진로걱정이 미치는 영향을 연구하여 매개효과를 밝힘으로서 상담자들이 상담 장면에서 대학생들의 진로걱정의 다양함을 고려한 상담진행으로 내담자의 자기실현을 이루는데 도움을 줄 수 있다. 또한 현재까지 우리나라에서 실시되고 있는 집단 상담 프로그램 및 진로상담의 효과에 관한 연구들이 내담자의 진로걱정의 차이를 고려하지 않고 동일한 프로그램과 상담방식으로 진행해왔음을 고려해 볼 때, 본 연구는 보다 효과적인 진로상담을 위해, 차별적인 상담개입과 전략을 세우기 위한 기초의 연구로서 중요한 의의가 있다. 본 연구대상은 서울, 경기, 충정지역의 4년제 대학교 중 4학년 2학기의 졸업예정자 총 606명이며, 자료 수집은 2013년 11월 4일부터 약 2주간에 걸처 표준화된 자기기입식 설문지를 사용하여 수집하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, Holland 유형별 대학생의 진로걱정과 진로결정상태에 대한 차이를 검증한 결과 진로걱정정도와 진로걱정유형이 Holland 유형별로 다르게 나타나 유의한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, Holland 유형별로 차이를 보인 진로결정상태에서 진로걱정이 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 진로에 대한 무걱정과 걱정, 그리고 진로결정유형 중 의존성이 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 진로걱정이 대학생의 진로결정상태에 미치는 영향을 분석함으로써 매개효과를 밝혔다는데 의의가 있다.

This research analyzes the decision-making status of expected graduates depending on their Holland preference type, as well as the influence career worries have on vocational decision status. By discovering this mediating effect, career counselors can carry out counseling based on the variety of career worries college students have, further supporting self-actualization of the client. As the previous studies on group counseling programs and the effects of career counseling have not yet considered the difference between various types of career worries and carried out identical programs and counseling method, this study is significant in marking the emergence of differentiated counseling intervention and strategy for more effective career counseling. This research is based on a survey conducted on 606 expected graduates attending six 4-year universities in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungcheong areas. The students surveyed are in the second semester of their senior (4th)years, during two weeks from november 4, 2013. First, the results showed that the level of career worries and the type of career worries differed between college students that have different types of Holland preference, and such difference was meaningful. Second, examination on the influences that career worries have on different vocational decisions depending on Holland preference types, found that the state of anxiety-free and anxiety toward career and dependence, as one of vocational decision types, together work as mediators. In conclusion, the significance of this research lies on that it reveals the mediating effects that career worries have on vocational decision status of college students.

대상 데이터

본 연구는 2013. 11. 4부터 2주간에 걸쳐 서울, 경기, 충청지역에 소재한 4년제 대학에 4학년 2학기에 재학 중인 졸업예정자 총 606명을 연구대상으로 하였다. Table 1에 제시된 개인적 특성은 남학생 293명, 여학생 313명이며 Holland유형은 사회형이 25.

이론/모형

본 연구에서 개인의 진로결정상태는 진로결정상태모형을 이루는 결정성, 편안성 차원에 따라 규정된다. 결정성을 측정하기 위해 CDP의 결정성 1, 2문항과 Betz와 Voyten(1997)가 개발한 진로결정효능감 단축형 척도 (CDMSES-SF) 3, 4문항을 사용하였다.

진로걱정정도를 측정하기 위하여 사용된 설문문항은 Pennsylvania 걱정 증상 질문지를 토대로 하였다. 걱정의 범위를 진로로 제한하여 번안하여 사용하였고 Meyer, Miler, Metzger 및 Bo-rkovec(1990)에 의해 개발되었다.

성능/효과

둘째, Holland 유형별 진로결정상태를 보면 현실형, 사회형, 진취형은 결정-편안의 상태를 보였으며, 탐구형은 결정-불편, 예술형과 관습형은 미결정-불편의 상태를 나타냈다. 걱정이 높은 예술형과 의존성이 높은 관습형의 진로결정상태는 미결정-불편으로 나타났으며, 걱정이 높은 진취형은 결정-편안의 진로결정상태를 나타냈다.
셋째, Holland 유형별 대학생의 진로결정상태에 진로 걱정이 미치는 영향이 유의하며 완전매개하고 있음이 밝혀졌다. 분석결과 독립변인인 Holland 유형이 종속변인인 진로결정상태의 하위요인 결정성에 대해 2단계의 회귀계수에서 유의한 것으로 나타났고, 3단계에서는 매개 변인인 진로걱정정도가 진로결정상태의 하위 요인인 결정성과 편안성에 미치는 영향이 유의하게 나타났지만 2 단계보다 약화된 유의성을 확인할 수 있어 완전매개효과가 있음을 알 수 있다.
첫째, Holland 유형별 대학생의 진로걱정정도와 진로 걱정유형의 차이가 있는지 분석한 결과 진로걱정정도의 요인으로서 무걱정과 걱정, 진로걱정유형의 요인으로서 자기존중성, 의존성, 자기비판성 모두 유의한 차이가 있다는 것으로 검증되었다.

후속연구

따라서 실제진로상담에서 내담자의 진로걱정의 차이에 따라 차별화된 상담방법으로 진행해야함을 시사함과 동시에 취업스트레스와 취업불안에 대한 연구에 비해 진로걱정에 대한 연구가 전무하기에 본 연구가 시사하는 바가 크다고 하겠다.
