균형 조절 능력이 뇌졸증 환자 재활의 중요한 목적이 되는 이유는 무엇인가? | 균형은 자세 조절을 통하여, 외부요인에 대하여 적절하게 반응하고 자세를 유지하는 과정으로 전정, 시각, 체성감각이 작용하게 된다(Cheng 등, 2001). 균형 조절 능력은 보폭과 보행을 안정적으로 유지하고 다양한 자세를 수행할 수 있도록 하는 기본적인 행동수단 일뿐만 아니라 수의적인 동작을 하기 전 자동적인 자세반사(automatic postural responses)기전을 이용한 균형 조절학습으로 뇌졸중 환자에게 있어서 재활의 중요한 목적이 된다(Walker 등, 2000). 이러한 선행적 자세조절은 몸통의 중심을 이루는 척추 주변의 자세조절근에 의해서 이루어지는데 뇌졸중과 같이 중추신경계에 신경학적 손상을 가진 사람은 운동, 감각, 그리고 인지 등의 다양한 문제로 인해 자세조절의 어려움을 호소한다(Shummway-Cook & Woolacott, 2001). |
